"The hotel is right outside the free bus into town. It’s quiet and is above the hotel restaurant. The staff were very friendly. The free breakfast was great and included freshly made food from the owners farm. Highly recommend to get away from the crowds in town."

"The view from the balcony (south facing) is out of this world. Magnificent! Room has Swiss charm and is ultra clean with a very comfortable bed. Zorica the hostess/owner is wonderful, as are all the staff (always friendly and helpful). In my opinion, this is the best location for any hotel in Grindelwald as it is near the end of the village road, away from all the busy, touristy hubbub, and it delivers an authentic rustic, country hotel experience, which is why I travel there. Also, it is not priced out of reach for the average person, though all of Switzerland is generally expensive. But it is worth every Swiss Franc to experience this! The restaurant is also quite good, serving up regional dishes, and so it is very convenient to be able to eat there instead of going into town about 2 km down. Just a wonderful experience through and through. I've been coming to Hotel Bluemlisalp since 1988, at least eight times now, and I will keep coming back over and over again!"
