"The hotel lobby and breakfast and lounge areas are in a shopping precinct Lacks a cosy bar area for guests. We ended up going to the nearby Waldorf Astoria for a drink one night which had a better vibe. It would be great if a separate bar area could be opened somewhere. Also no seating whilst waiting for transport which I suspect is to ensure visiting shoppers don’t sit around."

"We were persuaded to upgrade to a royal suite. It was expensive but such an experience. The suite was big, with two writing desks (my husband and I do not need to take turns to do work), a walk in wardrobe and an extra powder room (three toilets) that four of us could use."

"Lobby felt like an airport with the number of people milling about for Christmas photos. Spa opens late (I would prefer an early morning sauna - 10am too late for me) and sauna is not heated up fully by the time it's open. Gym needs a serious upgrade."

"The only thing that screw up my stay at the hotel was the breakfast on the day of departure. The hotel is very majestic and beautifully decorated, so of course there are crowds of people taking pictures 24/7. And during my breakfast, there was a wedding photoshoot. Instead of pleasant music and a festive New Year's atmosphere, all the guests were forced to listen to the photographer's shouting and yelling, as well as being blinded by camera flashes, which, to put it mildly, spoiled the impression. Please consider implementing rules for photoshoots at the hotel: a ban on flashes, no shouting, or better yet, introduce a restriction on photoshoots in this area during official breakfast hours. This way, everyone will be satisfied."

"Location, facilities and cleanliness was in line with an international 5-star hotel. Breakfast was fantastic with a very ample offering of both an a-la-carte and buffet options. Service was good albeit with that shy/awkward vibes from staff."

"Staff could have better English... sometimes was very hard to understand what they were saying and had to ask to repeat 2 or 3 times. Reception employees (at the very least) should have good English to cater to non-Chinese guests... it's a shame that the hotel overlooks this very basic item. Gym equipment is already outdated and not up to par with equipment you'd normally find in a 5-star hotel (i.e. Tecnhogym). Excessive use of technology and panels (like for lighting, curtains, air conditioning, etc) in the room... its a little too much and can get quite fidgety."
