"The breakfast was excellent as were the staff in the restaurant. We ended up with a room in kind of an annexe away from the nice main building. I felt that the room was extremely basic and not very attractive. If you stay here, be sure to get a room in the main building where there is a beautiful pool and great views."

"There were no towels in the room when we arrived so had to ask for them at the main desk. The woman looked at me as if I requested something unusual. I didn't like the room in the "bungalow.""

"Our rooms were located in the family area of the hotel, which we requested. It could have been a great experience but details like not enough pillows was an issue. Both my husband and me sleep with two pillows so the first night we did not sleep well despite good quality bed linen. The night tables did not have reading lamps and we also like to read and be able to switch off the light from the bed and not have overhead light annoy the other who may want to sleep. Finally the family kitchen was a beautiful space, but how is a family of 4 adults and two small children supposed to eat using two small round cafe tables?"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Marala Hotel. We even extended it for one night, because the hotel was so nice. Everyone is friendly and we even got upgraded for free! I can highly recommend tho hotel to everyone who is looking for a luxury stay with monkeys visiting the hotel everyday!"

"Lovely setting with views of the sea just off the main road. Modern hotel where the infinity pool and swim up bars are the stars. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast choice was excellent as was other meals but the prices were quite high. Our final room was at the back, quiet and away from the noisy pool area. We had views of birds, capucins and the local cat visited the balcony. We had a restful and pleasant stay after the initial room switch. Highlight definitely watching the macaws flying passed, sipping mango juices and taking in the view."

"We did not like our first room. We booked a room which said garden or mountain view but got a room right next the pool where everyone had to walk pass to get to the bar or restaurant. We even had a lady making a phone call outside the room when we arrived. Could here the traffic noise. The pool music was loud as well so we asked to move. This they did quickly for us but only for our first night initially. and the next room was better. I had to chase to check that we could keep the room for our second night. This room needed a little door TLC. Bathroom door sweaked and main door jam when you opened it."

"Everything was well designed, excellent decor, comfortable room and large bathroom. The food and service at the restaurant for both dinner and complementary breakfast were superb. The pool, looking out over the ocean with a swim up bar was lovely, with ample seating and pool towels provided."

"The view, the pool, the style of the hotel, confy bed and the food taste (diner), we saw Aras and Capucins monkeys. We took the room with the parking/garden view to avoid noises from the road and it worked."

"Pricey for the food and bar, breakfast was low quality (unexpected in such place), cocktail was very basic for 22$, they could have special quality lotions/shampoos in the shower/bathroom for the price."
