"I like this place cause it feels homely. I have stayed here three times already, whenever I come to San Jose for transit before taking the bus to the next location in Costa Rica. Hostel is close to the bus station (about 3 blocks away). Rooms are well cleaned. The cats are super adorable. One joined me in bed one night! The staff are very helpful especially the lady who works the day shift."
"There were some baby cockroaches in the kitchen but I think it's also because some guests didn't clean up well after cooking. It's located in/near coca cola district which has some crimes. Strongly advise not to walk around alone at night. I learnt to take Uber to and fro so it was fine."

"The staff were really friendly and welcoming. There was a relaxed vibe to the place too. The common areas were really nice to hang out in. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was great and I got chatting to some fellow travellers."
"San Jose doesn't feel super safe to me, but the hostel is only a short walk between two of the main bus stations so it is still very convenient. Also, I had a shower, and there was barely any hot water."
