"Das Schiff ist toll und das Essen auf dem Schiff ist hervorragend. Das Hotel hat eine wunderbare Lage und ist sehr gepflegt."
Das Essen im Hotel ist an den Geschmack aller angepasst und daher nicht so gut wie in den kleinen Restaurants, die effektiv authentisches Essen anbieten. Das mag allerdings Geschmackssache sein.

"I have done many cruises with the big companies but my room on the Minerva was by far the best lots of space with a big bathroom. Food was more than good drinks are reasonable considering it’s a cruise. It’s very quiet. There was actually more staff than passengers which can be a plus for most people but yeah it was a pleasant three or four days. I highly recommend doing the tours with a guide. The guides are exceptional so knowledgeable they are professionals you can’t really do all the temples without them. I had a good room mid ship which helps as I had seen reviews where others had to sleep in the bathroom to avoid the noise of the engines the engines do run 24/7 even when you docked. It is special going down the Nile seeing the valley of the Kings etc . It is a more expensive way of doing it but it beats the rat race out there. I enjoyed myself."
Finding the ship was an awful experience. It’s not hard to put a sign on the gangway you are docked on to The ships are sometimes do two or three deep next to another one so you cannot even see the name of the ship you were boarding. I had a terrible experience. I’d ask one person where it was and all they wanted to do was palm me off into their dodgy taxi drivers to take me. It was an absolute nightmare. I was walking around in the heat with my luggage going through construction sites, everybody with their handout not good enough!! stick a sign up people . I’m a solo traveller and the first meal I had I was placed on a table and said this is where you sit every time. I was sat on a very long table on my own every single meal. I had made friends in the end and I still had to sit on my own. It was bizarre bordering on totally weird. I also wasn’t keen on the lack of communication. What was going on? I had tours booked two or three times each day. That I booked through the ship The guides were good. They come and get you but you really need to keep on everybody to know what time you’re getting collected. First night I got basic program slipped under the door. That’s it. None for the second or third night you gotta wing it. If you’re reading this considering it it’s okay. It’s a quiet cruise. It really suits 70+-year-olds. I’m a 50-year-old solo traveller and the young guys at the bars were really confused and thought it comical that I was all alone on this ship with no woman LOL I wouldn’t do it again for that reason. I don’t know what I was expecting but if I hadn’t made friends from my own country, I would’ve been bored out of my mind.
