"Fantastic room with balcony over garden Welcoming owner Delicious breakfast"

"Chris and Saba warmly welcomed us to their lovely home. They prepared a great breakfast, with local foods such as honey from Adigrat. Due to the difficulty of getting somewhat larger amounts of money from the ATM in Mek'ele, we asked the hosts for the possibility of an online payment, not according to the initial agreement. They were completely open to it and helped us out! Chris and Saba, thank you for the stay at your wonderful home! Kirsten & Sander"

"The nicest place we stayed in Ethiopia, very comfortable and beautiful house designed by the owner Chris. Chris and Saba are very welcoming and excellent hosts, they even shared their dinner with us on the night of our stay when we were too tired to go out. Breakfast was delicious, we were given fresh juice and bread. Warm shower (can be rare in Ethiopia!) and all amenities available. Very walkable distance to everything in Mekele, a perfect place to stay!"

"I liked everything. The communication was spotless, the room is nice, plus I was lucky enough to be invited to celebrate family Christmas together. Traveling by myself in Ethiopia, I thought that was a very special and lucky experience. Chris and Saba were the best. They also will give you a lot of information on local spots, history and whereabouts."

"A lovely stay with Chris and Saba. Both the property and the room itself are immaculately kept and I was immediately made to feel at home. Chris and Saba were able to offer lots of local insights/recommendations and prepared an exquisite and delicious breakfast. I would recommend a stay at Asimba Guest House."

"Chris and Saba's home is lovely, we were so comfortable during our brief stay. Chris's garden is beautiful respite from the bustle of Mekele, and both he and Saba were a wealth of knowledge for trip planning. The local honey and fresh guava smoothie at breakfast were an extra treat."

"Le Guest House est très tranquille. Les hôtes sont d'une grande gentillesse. Les repas sont copieux et de très bonne qualité. La chambre est spacieuse et très propre. Une très bonne adresse pour un séjour ou une étape à Mekele."
"La chambre avait un soucis de température un peu élevée qui a ensuite été résolu par un ventilateur."
