"The owners were welcomiing, and friendly, from the moment we arrived, until the moment we left. The breakfast was delicious, home made, and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble. We also had a small dog, who was also welcomed. Will return again."

"Good location as we needed to be near an event, but easy to get a bus from property to centre and elsewhere. Family friendly pub.Food was good, didn’t require breakfast, nice coffee machine , fresh milk and biscuits and good size fridge in room. Live music ended at a reasonable time."

"The accommodation has excellent location. The Central Station is within 15 minutes walk, but there are bus stops nearby, so with public transport everything is reachable quickly. Kevin, the owner is very friendly and welcoming and helpful."

"Pickmere is a real gem! Stunning location with my bedroom overlooking open fields. My family were staying in the attached accessible annex which is perfect for those with disabilities. Cooked breakfast was great they said, for me it was no problem for a gluten/ dairy/ carb free breakfast to be prepared! Pickmere lake a short walk away is delightful for some exercise and to wind down. Many thanks. We will certainly return when in the area 😊"
