"The landlady was very kind and polite. She provided all the necessary things like flip flops, towel and wifi password. The bed was very comfortable surprisingly. Would definitely recommend it!"

"The hostel was pretty clean. The staff at the reception were friendly, helpful, and patient. They have a lot of knowledge about tourism in Bagan and were always happy to give advice or answer questions. It was also very convenient that they can help you book buses directly at the hostel, and that you can rent e-bikes. Another big plus is the atmosphere. The hostel is social, but not in an overwhelming way. It’s not loud or pushy. There are great opportunities to connect with other travelers if you want, but you can also just sit by the pool and enjoy some quiet time. I think this place is perfect both for people looking for peace and quiet and for those who want to meet others."

There wasn’t much to complain about. The only small improvement I can think of would be adding curtains to the beds, which would give a bit more privacy.

"Great helpful staff, freshly cleaned room. I arrived earlier than planned and they quickly swept and mopped the room and made up my bed while I waited. Super central location. Showers were hot. Got given a roll of toilet paper on check in which seems like a great solution to previous negative reviews saying toilet paper ran out and wasn't topped up. Great value for money"

There was no common area to hang out in like a lounge or courtyard or kitchen, but even still I made new friends just in my dorm room, in the corridor and in the bathroom while brushing my teeth. Probably not ideal for light sleepers as there is a karaoke bar nearby but I really enjoyed being able to hear all the singing!

"J' ai aimé le personnel sympathique, la possibilité de pouvoir manger sur place, la proximité des randonnées, notamment le piton des neiges, possibilité de laver mes vêtements, la taille des lieux, la vue sur les montagnes autour. Possibilité feu de cheminée. Bar, cafétéria restaurant il me semble en bas sur le point de réouvrir. C'est pas cher, et convivial."

Ils sont en train de rénover les lieux, il y avait des imperfections, mais elles auront disparu très bientôt.

"We had a wonderful stay. It's a good way to get to know the Uzbek culture, far away from the touristy areas. It's run by a family. Nigina and her girls cooked amazing fresh food every day. Best food we had in whole Uzbekistan especially the Plov, even the guides who stayed there it's one of the best they ever had. Raxmat is an amazing host he helped us with thing from the beginning till the end, with transportation or also with hike tours. The place is good for every type of travellers, there were also some families, solo female travelers etc. For us, we stayed 3 nights, it was nice to disconnect (they have wifi) but we never used it. There is plenty of things to do like hiking etc. We will miss this wonderful place. Thank you again Raxmat and Nigina!"

"Pokoj byl hezký. U každého lůžka je trezůrek na cennosti, a zásuvka na nabíjení. (Jen je asi 5V) takže trvá hodně dlouho než se nabije telefon. Jinak v pokoji tam byly ještě zásuvky, které byly rychlejší. Za mě v hostelu bylo čisto. Kousek na pláž a příjemné prostředí. Doporučuji. 😊"

Večer mi netekla teplá voda. Dozvěděla jsem se od spolubydlící, že musím často počkat třeba 5 minut než začne téct. Ve společných sprchách to bylo lepší. A chyběla rychlovarná konvice v kuchyni.

"Hostitelé byli velmi milí a po celou dobu našeho pobytu byli vždy přítomní ve společenských místnostech. Zajímali se, jestli jsme spokojení a zda je všechno v pořádku. Pokoj byl ideální velikosti, měl funkční klimatizaci a postel byla pohodlná. Lokalita byla klidná a v příjemné vzdálenosti od promenády. Ocenili jsme také možnost parkování ve dvoře."

WiFi občas vypadávala, ale výpadky byly velmi krátké (v řádech sekund).

"A Pleasant Surprise at Palm Garden! We booked Palm Garden without checking any reviews—only afterward did we take a look and feel a bit unsure. My husband even told me not to say anything about the booking, just to see how it was when we got there. But to our surprise, from the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. At the doorstep, we were greeted by Madu at reception, who welcomed us with the warmest smile—as if we had known her for years! 😊 Our room was spotlessly clean, very spacious, with a large comfortable bed and a lovely balcony overlooking a beautiful view. It was clear that the staff really care about maintaining a high standard."

"Ravehei je hostel pro duchem mladé lidi. Kuchyně se nachází pod střechou na dvorku, ale uvaříte, je tam vše, co potřebujete. Věcí dáte do chladničky . Užíváte společné toalety a sprchu. Něco nefunguje, ale to se dá prominout, vždyť je to pobyt za pár korun! Nedaleko je obchůdek, kde se dá koupit pečivo na druhý den, voda a pivo. Pobyt jsme si užili."

"Velmi pěkný čistý hostel za rozumnou cenu, není co vytknout. Dobrá lokalita v centru (2 min od trhu, 5 min od autobusového nádraží). Neznal jsem přesný čas příjezdu z Tartusu, tak jsem předem dostal instrukce k ubytování s kódem pro otevření dveří."

méně prostoru v ložnici, ale v celém hostelu jsme byli jen 2 hosti, takže ok; bylo trochu obtížnější hostel najít (není přímo v kruhové křižovatce, ale v boční ulici); zvláštní čínská spolubydlící s masem v umyvadle :-)

"Velmi pohodlné postele, příjemné posezení na terase s možností kulečníku zdarma, spoustu přátelských koček, poměrně velké úložné prostory (každý měl k dispozici velkou uzamykatelnou skříňku před pokojem), prostorná sprcha s odkládacím prostorem, výborná levná snídaně s drinkem zdarma."

První dojem ze společných prostor nebyl úplně dobrý, ale to nakonec nebylo důležité. Pokoj, sprchy, záchody i terasa byly v pořádku.

"I tried a hostel for the first time and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. I went in a little sceptical, but a close friend strongly recommended this place—and it completely lived up to (and surpassed) my expectations. The property itself is stunning, perfectly located (a walkable radius from most important landmarks), with a rooftop view that’s hard to beat. But what really made the experience was the vibe—there’s such a natural sense of community here that just pulls you in. What I loved and will miss the most were the owners and staff, who are easily some of the warmest, most genuine people I met on this trip. Somehow managed to feel like I’d known them for ages by the time I left. Left with a full heart and would 100% want to stay here again."

"Lovely staff, really informative and kind. The hostel Backpackers was clean, comfortable and nice inside and out. Absolutely brilliant location - close to bus stops, Cuba Street, good eateries and has all you could need in the Backpackers. A fully functional kitchen, a lounge where you can chill with your buddies, board games to play, a nice outdoor deck. I also like the fact they had a female only bathroom downstairs. The showers were excellent, too!"

The bedroom I stayed in didn't have a lock that worked on the door, which was a bit concerning. I don't love that.

"Velmi milý hostitel (místní pekař). Ráno při odchodu čekal na schodek polštářek (podprdelník) a moje boty s malým dárkem. Doporučuju si objednat snídani - chleba byl fenomenální. Ubytování je přímo na Caminu. Všechno bylo čisté a hostitel byl připraven s čímkoliv pomoci."

"This place is simply fabulous - clean, quiet, cozy, everything works, in a great location near night market, mall, fast food etc, easily reachable by bus, yet, some rooms face forest. It's self check-in, all information is provided timely and clearly, communication is brilliant and any questions promptly answered. One of the best place to stay ever."

There is nothing not to like. But, as you need a code to enter your room, its probably not a good idea to rush to the toilet in the middle of the night, and forgetting phone with the code in the room 😊 (didn't happen, but could 🤣). Love it here...
