"Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good except for almost no fruit nor vegetables. Room had a nice view over the lake and had a balcony. AC worked well. Walking distance to ferry and beach was nice as well."

"They didn't change our towels and the cleaning staff started early and was loud which could wake a sensitive sleeper."

"This is a small 12 room hotel hosted by the owners who were very friendly, pleasant and did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. It was nearing the end of their season and the rooms were looking a bit "tired". The room had a very comfortable double bed and was more than adequate for the two of us. Breakfast of cereals, yogurt, bread rolls with cheese and ham plus an assortment of cakes was available from 8:00 - 10:00 am"

"The room was very clean as was the toilet/shower room, however, the base of the shower surround appeared to have needed a good clean. Sadly the weather was against us."

"Location close to the beach was perfect. The owners were super friendly. Breakfast was good (not like all out fantastic- but as much as you want, fresh bread, eggs, yoghurt with endless kinds of granola, all kinds of jam/ nutella/ honey, small donuts and muffins, pie, for cheese and prosciutto you just have to ask- which I think is great because it can be kept fresh and not out in the heat all morning). Airconditioning in the room. Parking on site. Good bed. View of the lake on terrace/ in restaurant. Loved my stay!"

"The hotel has seen better times. Bathroom is old (likely difficult to clean) and moldy and not for really big people :-), tiny shower cubicle. Walls are thin (heard the neighbours having "fun" one night- but the other nights it was perfectly quiet, no youth making noise or anything). It's all a little bit messy and not very esthetic, but if you re not too sensitive to that you will definitely have a great time here. (It just made my hands itch because the place has so much potential)"

"This is a great value hotel, very near to the port of Monega and Lake Garda. It's location was ideal for us, as it was a 5 minute walk down to the lovely bars and restaurant on the harbour at Monega. Plenty of parking at the front of the hotel for the number of rooms/guests. It is family run, and the host (Roberto) and his family made us very welcome. Our double room was not big, but it was perfect for our requirements and had a great balcony overlooking the lake (most rooms seem to have this) Okay, the hotel is not modern and plush in any way the size of the shower in our room always made it a bit of a challenge. but the hotel has a very comfortable and relaxed feel. Recommended for travellers who wish to spend their time enjoying all that Monega and the beautiful area has to offer. Breakfast and the overall service was good."

"The size of the showers has been mentioned before; not much room to move around ! Some of the decor inside and outside is a bit dilapidated, but we thought added to the charm. The cost of making changes would no doubt increase the room prices considerably, which would lose some of it's appeal. The Hotel du Lac may not suit everybody, but we visit the area to see our daughter every year and will definitely use this hotel again."

"I had a great stay for 4 days. It felt very homey and peaceful. The hotel has a prime location and for the price point offers a really good experience. The staff was always friendly, always helpful and very welcoming. The room was basic but complete and comfortable, with a wonderful view over the lake. They cleaned the bathroom and made the bed everyday. The food at the hotel’s restaurant was outstanding, homemade and really not expensive for the amounts you get. The breakfast was good, with the possibility to order more if desired and having fresh coffee."
