"Loved the unique theme to the hotel. Great touch with the record player playing the composer our room was named after. Loved the decor throughout the hotel and our room. Loved the balcony, too, overlooking the action! One block from zocalo. Great location! Nice shower towels and toiletries! Filter water and coffee supplied. The staff are lovely. The cleaner was lovely too and did a immaculate job! Highly recommended"

"The room and bathroom smelled strongly of chemicals, maybe paint or another strong cleaning chemical. Once the fan was on, it faded but it was very pungent. There is no window out outside so no open to let the room breathe."

"Great location, good sized comfortable room! We were sick during our time so didn’t get to enjoy much but the free breakfast was nice and it was centrally location to everything. The hotel looks like a museum and the rooms being dedicated to musicians is a cool touch (our was Bach and had a record player in the room, very cool!)"

"The room was a good size, but they're not really as fancy as they look in the photos. There was no issue with noise inside the hotel and the heavy draperies helped cut down street noise somewhat. The record player in the room also contained a radio, which I really liked and is rather difficult to find these days."

"There is a fair bit of carpeting, both wall-to-wall in the elevator area, and throw rugs in both the public areas and in my room. All of them smelled a bit like they were long overdue for a good steam cleaning. Otherwise, it was clean enough. The shower never got warmer than barely tepid, but oddly, the sink provided good warm water. I adapted by taking sink baths, which I don't mind especially, but I think most people would not be happy with this at the price point of the room. The front desk staff were all really young, and while friendly and willing to answer questions as best they could, they didn't give me much confidence that they'd handle some emergency well. I'd asked for a quiet room, but got one overlooking a busy street. The street quieted down reasonably well at night so it wasn't that bad, but I believe there were quieter rooms in the hotel."
