The hotel's owner has a great knowledge of all of the pleasures of Mexico City and often joins the diners for conversation over breakfast in the main dining room."

"A great location, and room was very comfortable, although a little small. Breakfast was fine, cooked to order. The manager was very kind and helpful, taking the time to sit with us at breakfast to advise on anything we wanted to know."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The setting is lovely for a city hotel with lots of plants, flowers and inner courtyards. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Location within walking distance of the Anthropological Museum and various landmarks like the Angel of Liberation."

"Friendly and professional staff. Feels like living in a real mexican home, with family. Breakfast was quick, wide selection. The staff are really accommodating. For sure I will stay there again. Hot water, environmentally-friendly hotel (awareness-raising signs on using water wisely, 100% smoe-free, etc.)"

"The location felt very safe and there are loads of eating places on the doorstep. The historic centre and Chapultepec Park and castle are within easy reach. I walked but there is public transport conveniently available. My room was spacious and had everything I needed. Plenty of hot water at all times in the shower. If you want to stay somewhere with character, rather than the usual modern hotel this is the place. Excellent value for money, especially for a big city, and the staff were so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The reception staff spoke excellent English, which was great for anything important as my Spanish is very basic. It's unlikely I will get to Mexico again, but if I do I will be making a beeline for this lovely place."

"Not exactly didn't like but a mere suggestion. I can't cope with the copious Mexican style breakfast, so after the first day, I went out to get a cappuccino and croissant! I know that sounds boring, but I would have appreciated an a' la carte menu rather than fixed deal for breakfast. The fruit, yoghurt and granola was delicious and that and a coffee would have sufficed. To be honest, had I asked, I probably could have had that, as they were so accommodating. It's just me not adapting, so certainly not a complaint!!"
