"The breakfast was great, and despite my complaints I can recognise overall it was a fine place to stay."

"What I didn’t like was that I had to move rooms and then realised that I didn’t even have to move - as in the room that I was told to move out from wasn’t even booked and stayed empty. They just didn’t have the room I booked available the first night and made me pack up and move because I was put in a bigger room. It also annoyed me the way it was presented. Oh you get to stay in a bigger room for the same price! I don’t care about having a bigger room, I just don’t want to have to pack up again. As I was leaving for my walking tour, the staff told me that I would have to pack my bag and leave the bag out for the room change before I went which made me late and miss my tour. I think the aircon fee was already too high at 10USD per day, but also when I asked for the aircon at night the employee asked me for 32USD for two nights, and only reduced the price when I said I was already told 10USD. I don’t know where they came up with these prices. Given the room change inconvenience, they could have given me a discount but instead tried to rip me off."

"Mariana was very sweet and patient with my "Spanglish". She was very accommodating & made me delicious breakfasts."

"It was all up to standard of this price point & country. My room was fresh with 2 fans & AC, but was next to the common atea/food service area. I was comfortable there, but I always sleep with air plugs. Location was about 15 min walk to both the main square and also bus for Las Penitas."

"León is very hot so if booking a room without air con be prepared - we managed fine couple nights without it but if spending a lot of time in your room you’ll have to consider paying extra for it. Water pressure in shower was hit and miss."
