"Because we were very dissatisfied with our previous accommodation, we decided at the last minute to add an extra night on Andøya. We were very lucky to find this place. The host, who is a retired navy officer, was extremely welcoming and even greeted us at the door, which immediately made us feel happy and at ease. The house feels very warm and cozy, with a truly usable simple kitchen and a very comfortable bedroom. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant."
"There is no washing machine, and the bathroom facilities are quite basic. The kitchenette is indeed very simple — the electric stove and the water heater cannot be used at the same time, otherwise the power will trip. This just requires a bit of attention when using the appliances."

"The apartment is large and homely. Good location for restaurants, supermarkets or the seafront from where the tours depart (all within 10 minutes walk). The beds were comfortable.The kitchen is basic but adequate for our needs. The owner is very nice and helpful, and kindly allowed us to check in early."

"It’s such a charming home. Really spacious, full of old knick knacks, lamps, large windows, comfy seating and a really comfy bed. It’s just a 15 min walk from the airport, the supermarket is 2 mins away and some fabulous cafés and restaurants a 5 mins walk. The host, Age Mathisen is really sweet, warm and welcoming. And Andenes itself is lovely. We had an absolutely lovely, restful stay there."

"It was amazing, a historic house fully renovated and overwhelming comfy in the Norwegian "nowhere" with hosts who really care of their guests, prepared many lovingly things and information. Our stay was way too short to try hikes in the wood or using the raw boat. This is an absoluty "yes, anytime again"!"

"We had quite low expectations, but the stay exceeded all of them by far :). We got a bit different rooms from what we’ve seen on the picture, or in our imagination… but they have only 5 special rooms, and all of them have their own story and design. The house is more than 200 years old, it has a long history, and you feel it in the air, in every small detail of the house, all the attention and details of décor. The house has impressive yard (if you are lucky with the weather), you can swim in the sea. The bathrooms and a toilet are shared among all the tenants, but we had no queues or overlapping with our other tenants staying the same night. It was one of the most unique hotels we stayed at, it has a soul! Lovely stay and experience for our family of four."
