"Amazing location. Super serene and peaceful. Not difficult to reach - there is a direct ferry from Bergen. The room was stunning, with the most amazing view. The hotel itself was very thoughtfully and tastefully designed - lots of art everywhere too, as well as an on site gallery! All the staff were really warm and hospitable. Highly recommend for a calming and relaxing time in nature. If you are here during the week then you might be able to visit their trout farm!"

"We stayed 1 night as a family of 2 adults and 3 kids in an apartment and really enjoyed it. Its a great place to just relax. They have apartments for 7-8 people in the red building above the restaurant which are well equipped and had good noise isolation (somehow the picture on bookingsite show only the rooms in the villa). The breakfast was outstanding and was in the villa. The restaurant was spacious with good view and offered a good variety of meat and fish dishes and also had a menu for children. Every staff member was very friendly and helpful We could charge our electric car for free. Highlight of our trip was the walk on the hill nearby with an amazing view, there was nobody else there (there are small parking areas at the main road and then follow the sign "tursti")"
"Would be good the have the main informations displayed in the room (like breakfast time, checkout time, wifi password. There were also 2 whirlpool at the sea, could one book them?) The advertised daily trip to the fish farm apparently only take place in high season which is apparently in june and juli (we were there in august), so we missed it. This info should be more clear."

"På booking hadde leiligheten to soverom, uteplass med møbler og egen inngang. Den hadde ingen av delene. Hems er ikke soverom! Sluken i vasken på badet var tettet med hår, det var også hår på sluken til dusjen. Toalettet hadde nok ikke vært vasket på en stund. Den ene dusjveggen var borte, og dørklinken til badet manglet skruer. I oppholdsrommet var det et spisebord man kan slå ut, men det var ødelagt. Det var bare en stol til bordet. Tv’en virket ikke pga dårlig kontakt. Vi fikk ikke wifi passord. Det var heller ikke klut og kjøkkenhåndkle. Dessverre var ingen tilgjengelige verken i resepsjon eller på telefon. Jeg sendte en melding som jeg ikke fikk svar på. Vi holdt ut et døgn, så dro vi derfra selv om vi hadde betalt for to netter."

"Pas de parking réservé pour les clients de l'hotel, le déchargement des bagages de la voiture n'est pas optimal. L'appartement (pouvant accueillir 8 personnes!) a une petite cuisine, mais tout juste suffisamment de couverts pour 4. Seulement une table basse sans chaises. Il a fait très chaud pour la région, c'était impossible d'aérer la mezzanine où se trouvent les lits. La veille du départ, nous avons dû garer notre voiture à 500m plus loin pour permettre la préparation d'un festival."

"We had quite low expectations, but the stay exceeded all of them by far :). We got a bit different rooms from what we’ve seen on the picture, or in our imagination… but they have only 5 special rooms, and all of them have their own story and design. The house is more than 200 years old, it has a long history, and you feel it in the air, in every small detail of the house, all the attention and details of décor. The house has impressive yard (if you are lucky with the weather), you can swim in the sea. The bathrooms and a toilet are shared among all the tenants, but we had no queues or overlapping with our other tenants staying the same night. It was one of the most unique hotels we stayed at, it has a soul! Lovely stay and experience for our family of four."

"Excellent location for roadtrips or hiking trails. The host is very nice. The house is well equipped including a spacious modern bathroom with an amazing shower cabin. We loved the wooden furniture and the cozyness of the cabin. All the maps and books of the area are very useful. My favourite is the photobook of Leiv Bergum. The cabin is a treasure box full of cozyness, warmth and tranquility."
