There is also tent accommodation with access to shared bathroom facilities. The area surrounding the property is popular for hiking. The Geirangerfjord is 1.2 km from Vinje Camping. The nearest airport is Årø Airport, 72 km from the property. Bed linen and towels are not included. You can rent bed linen for NOK 95 per person, and towels for NOK 30 per person or bring your own. Please note that from September until May, southwest road access to Geiranger from RV 63 Route may be closed due to the weather. Access is still possible on RV 63 from the north. Please contact the property for more information. When travelling with pets, please note that an extra charge of NOK 250 per pet, per stay applies. Final cleaning can be booked on arrival for NOK 400,- The cabin needs to be cleaned before you leave. Either you can do this yourself, or we can do the cleaning for NOK 400,- If the cleaning is not up to standard there will be and extra fee. Leave the cabing as you found it. You will find cleaning-equipment in the cabin, if you wish to clean the cabin yourself.

"The cabins were located in the middle of a valley, which is very picturesque. For a small cabin, it is very well equipped with the basic amenities and also kitchen utilities to be able to cook a meal for the whole cabin. The staff had sent several messages to prealert on the weather conditions and potential road closure so we had plenty time to plan our drive to this location which is very helpful!"
"The roads leading to the cabin is quite a drive and because of the location may close when there is bad weather. So you need to be careful driving on the road and check on the road conditions before starting your drive so that you can plan ahead."
"The staff at the campsite were lovely - very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean, comfortable and spacious. It is in a great location just above the village of Geiranger but close enough to walk to the centre. We were able to self cater for our stay which is what we wanted - there are only 2 hob rings and a small oven but it is enough if you plan right and there was enough cutlery and crockery provided. We needed to do some laundry while we were there and there is a washing machine and dryer available for use - staff very helpful in getting this sorted. We knew when we booked that this was a basic camping cabin but it exceeded our expectations for comfort."

"We had a cosy, comfortable, well maintained and clean cottage with a beautiful view on the Geirangerfjord. The Vinje camping is nicely situated, close to the Geirangerfjord, the village of Geiranger and several waterfalls. The camping has a nice and varied layout. There is a small store at the reception desk, where the staff is very friendly and helpful."

"Cozy and green camping area with amazing views. Nice cottages with terraces facing the fjord with great views and long afternoon sun (weather dependent of course :) ). The Geiranger area is fantastic and Vinje camping is a good base for exploring. The inflatable bouncing pillow is a hit with the kids. The staff were nice and helpful, also in answering our questions before arrival."

"We had a very enjoyable stay in this room. It was spacious and well equipped, including a small pantry that was very convenient. The bathroom was large and comfortable. We especially liked the view from the window, where we could see the beautiful lake. The room also had a sofa and a table, which made it a nice place for us to sit and relax in the evening. The surrounding area was peaceful and scenic. We spent some time walking around the lake."
"the location was perfect for me. i travelled there on my own for skiing. it was 100m from the railway station, which is one train and tram from the airport and 100m from the gondola for skiing. there was a supermarket 3 min walk away and a petrol station next door, that was open late and did food. the staff were very friendly and helpful. the breakfast nice and varied, english and continental style. one of the dinners i had was exceptionally good (Iberico secreto). the view from the room was lovely, overlooking the lake. the room was nice and warm (although 2 other separate people had problems with their heating). there was a bath with a shower in it. it was pretty good."

"The location was great - a very short walk into town and fab for exploring the local area by car. It was also good to stay in a Norwegian property. Although it was a small room we were very welcomed in the house and had many good conversations with Lisbeth’s mum who also gave us some very good tips on where to go."
