"Fantastic views over the lake with manicured lawns and gardens. A very pleasant open feel. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. No air conditioning the only drawback as it was a very warm day, but I am prepared to overlook that."

"The close proximity of my sliding door to the neighbours door. Both felt the need to have net drape pulled for privacy which cuts out the lively view. No tissues or herbal tea/milo options No toilet seat? The shampoo/conditioner was very watery with really no smell"

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
