"The location was perfect as it was an easy walk to meetings and cafes. The setting was peaceful, friendly and comfortable. The Host was very easy going and welcoming. The breakfast service and dining space was lovely with personal touches that made me feel quite spoilt. Having a space to sit in the garden and listen to the tui was a bonus. Highly recommend this place to stay."

"Great location, only minutes away from Mapua Wharfe and all the facilities there. Sally was very welcoming and friendly. Bedroom was bigger than most we have stayed in - complete with toiletries, dressing gowns, air conditioning, tv, powerful shower, stunning views. We also had a room on the ground floor to use which was equipped with a fridge and small kitchen area. This led out to an outside seating area which was very welcome. Tea etc available to use and lovely home made biscuits 😋. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissants, toast, cereal, nuts and seeds. We even had Yorkshire Tea which was very welcome. Laundry is available too if you need it at a small cost. Sally made us very welcome and gave us lots of tips on the local area. Definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed - hopefully return one day."

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
