Captain's Log House

"Location is fantastic, it is close to the ocean. There is a locker for surfboards, a barrel to rinse wetsuits. The kitchen is great, with a lot of free stuff for cooking, tea, coffee etc. We had the rooftop apartment, which has its own kitchen and ocean view. Lots of surfers/travelers, always up for a chat. The owners were very kind and helpful. We had a great time."

"Spacious, beautifully designed, every detail is cute and thoughtfully crafted. Rooms are spacious and nice. Every room has a bathroom. Cute private pattio outside, the terrace. Honestly everything. Also the volunteer hosts really do take care good of the house :)"

"The ventilation in the second room could be improved. At night it got very warm and lacked oxygen. Also the bunk bed was too short for me but I am tall so understable. Also the first room i stayed the smell in the bathroom was unpleasant (probably had to do something with the sewer). Other than that, nada :)"

"Staff was super nice, always available if needed. Every person I met here has been super nice with me, I just stayed 5 days but I could have spent months here! You are 5 minutes away from ocean, surfing places and supermarket, you can rent board and suits directly in the hostel.. basically everything you need to enjoy your holidays in Baleal!"

"I stayed for a week to work remotely and surf, which was perfect. I could do my work in the living room, and went to my room sometimes for a call, but was not that I really had to. The house was super comfortable and clean, and there was a nice vibe with everybody. Most of the people were guests which came back after an earlier stay, which is a good sign. It was very easy to rent a board at the hostel for only 10 a day, being able to surf every day after (and sometimes before) work. Cat and Hugo were super sweet and made my stay super pleasant: I am sad to go after one week, will definitely come back!"
