"It is a really lovely place, a couple of minutes away by car from the Monchique village. The location is a bit remote, which makes it perfect to relax, enjoy the silence, and get some headspace away from the rush of work and the city. The hosts are a fantastic Dutch couple, super kind and caring. You can tell that the place was created with a lot of care and attention to detail, and the breakfast is always excellent. We truly enjoyed our stay and the whole experience. If you are looking for a place to rest, recharge, or even work while having that headspace, this is a fantastic choice."

"This place is absolutely fantastic. You can see that this a labour of love with Karin and Dirk-Jan who were great hosts. As soon as we arrived we felt we were staying with friends. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable,: large bedroom and large comfy bed. The communal areas are lovely with plenty of spots to sit and relax in their beautiful garden. The area itself suited us perfectly. quiet and tranquil but not isolated with plenty of hiking trails on your doorstep. The town of Monchique is 10 mins away by car and Alferce village is a short walk from the accommodation. We had initially planned on staying for four nights but stayed for a full week. We will be back."

"Gorgeous location, close proximity to local hikes and very easy to get around, 10 mins to Monchique and 30 mins to the coast. The gardens are beautiful and Karin is so helpful - probably the best host we’ve ever had. She gave us many great recommendations. The breakfasts were plentiful, with fresh fruit and avocados from the garden. Pack a warm layer as it’s windy and chillier up in the mountains."

"Casa Spa d’Alma was a tranquil idyll situated in the Algarve hills, but within an easy half hour car drive to the south coast, a bit longer to the west coast. Breakfast was simple but fulfilling."
