Located in between Évora’s Gothic cathedral and the Templo de Diana, this renovated convent features a courtyard swimming pool together with characteristic arched corridors and vaulted ceilings. The rooms at the Pousada consist of the old cells of the Lóios monks, which have been carefully updated in terms of comfort, while still maintaining all of its original and historical features. The private bathroom comes with bathtub and shower. The rooms come with free WiFi access, mini bar, air conditioning, safety deposit box and a flat-screen TV. Guests will be able to enjoy the experience of sleeping in a cell, while still being assured of relishing modern comforts. Guests can enjoy Portuguese dishes in Pousada’s stravovací zařízení, which has a chic indoor dining hall and a covered terrace by the pool. There is also a bar and a large lobby with plenty of seating. The Pousada de Évora has a 24-hour reception that can arrange horse riding trips and hikes. Guests can also walk around the city centre and visit Giraldo's Square with its 16th century fountain.

"This place is old. Not old in the sense of peeling paint on the walls and leaky pipes, but in the sense of a place with real history. Staying here, even just for one night and a dinner in the beautiful restaurant, is a true experience. It doesn't matter that the rooms are converted from former convent cells and therefore not very spacious. A special mention goes to the breakfast, which is delicious, with incredible homemade jams. A must-see in Évora."
"Be careful with the GPS when leaving, if you use the internal parking. It took us onto a very narrow road, and only thanks to the fact that our rental car was small and that a guy helped us were we able to get out. Going back to the starting point would have been a nightmare, and with a slightly larger car... we would probably still be there!"

"I'm a little disappointed that room 201 though with a very comfortable bed and lovely cotton sheets, the carpet in the room needed replacing...dirty and worn. I much prefer tiled or wood floors in hot climates. I'm a little reticent and should have mentioned this when we checked out."
