"The staff were super kind and helpful. The surroundings are really peaceful and it's a great location for exploring Serra da Estrela. The breakfast was fantastic. The hotel was really cozy, had a kind of 80s ski lodge vibe that we really enjoyed. We felt very comfortable there. Our room was very large and comfy, the kitchen was well-equipped and we loved that there was a fireplace in the room itself. Comfy mattress. We loved that there was a heated indoor pool as well as the outdoor pool. Lots of cats to make friends with in the grounds!"

"I think the only thing we didn't like was that the bedding was many sheets/blankets instead of a duvet, which tend to move around in the night. But they provided lots of pillows, which is great!"

"The staff were the most amazing people and got out of their way to help me when my car broke down. I have never came across such a welcoming friendly hospitality, people that are genuinely empathic, generous, caring. The place itself is very clean, the experience is very cosy and authentic. I loved it!!"

"The location was perfect and on route to the places we wanted to go. Away from the chaos of the Christmas lights yet close enough to get there easily. Other than that the rooms were clean and tidy and warm when we arrived as the reception gentleman took care in switching on the AC for when we arrived. Thank you."

"The Quinta could have a snack machine or a little mini supermarket for guests, like ourselves that arrived late with kids looking for a bite to eat. The donkey that was out in the cold and braying throughout the night, with the stillness of the night it echoed and around the Quinta making it difficult to sleep."

"It’s a good place with an authentic atmosphere. You just need to understand that it has this slightly cinematic vibe — a bit like a hotel cut off from civilization, with a large area, partly abandoned but absolutely cozy thanks to the people who work there. The design is pleasant, and the kitchen has everything you need. But if you’re expecting something luxury or fancy — this isn’t it. We really enjoyed our stay, and special thanks to the staff who called us a taxi to the mountains, took care of us, and genuinely wanted to help. Everything was clean and of good quality. Good breakfast."

"Our studio was well equipped , and we had a small outdoor area, we overlooked the swimming area. The area around the pool was well maintained , the pool was superb , and I swam early before breakfast each morning. Lots of shade with trees. The staff were delightful and breakfast was good, fresh and varied. We ended our Estrella hike here so enjoyed the rest. Intermarche is 5 minutes walk away too. We wish to return. Thank you all ."

"Looking a bit tired in places. Fridge in our room barely working, freezer compartment did not freeze. Steep cobbled driveway, we were in motorcycles ok in the dry but would be treacherous if wet."

"Beautiful place, perfect for anyone wanting to explore the amazing Serra da Estrela Nature Park. The property has a charming farm with animals, a small lake, and both indoor and outdoor pools. The room is spacious and nicely decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen and a large, comfortable shower."
