"Well maintained, super friendly and helpful staff. Room was always well stocked with towels and cleaned. Nicola does a great job by the pool keeping everyone happy with towels, food and drinks. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and the bartender was always smiling and talkative. D Richard’s steakhouse was great - Steak Diane and Filet were both excellent. Sol de Mar had good Mediterranean style food with a relaxed atmosphere. My husband and I ate here on a few occasions- pasta with lobster, veal scallopini both great choices. Close location to a number of off property restaurants that are excellent."

The pads on the loungers are very old, worn thin and extremely uncomfortable to sit on. Chef’s Table wasn’t good- we ate only one dinner there and the lobster cake and fish were dried out. The pasta dish with Shrimp had the full shell on the shrimp still making eating very messy. Lobster Fest on the beach was disappointing. The lobster was dried out as it had been sitting under lamps for some time. We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time to finally get a table after speaking with the manager in charge. Very unorganized.

The food was somewhat repetitive and sometimes bland.

Language is a barrier especially if you are an English speaker. Very clean place. Great music at the La Marine restaurant. Great restaurant staff. Great food"

Despite the well balanced breakfast, I ate the same breakfast for the entire period of my stay. This was predictable and monotonous . The breakfast was standard, meaning that I had no choice in terms of portion, variety and pricing. I expected to find cooking pots and utensils in the kitchen to allow me the option of cooking and preparing anything . I wish the hotel provided information on places to be visited within the vicinity and information regarding the most recent COP29

Jidlo uzasne, tematicke bufetové vecere. Na snidane jen tak nezapomenu, krasne s vyhledem na more. Personal uzasny, mily a vstricny. Uklid perfekrni a dekuji Brinde za uzasnou peci! Aktivity na plazi v cene."

Organised tours available for guests from tourist agencies, for self organised guests rent-a-car is the only option for sightseeing. Some facilities require better maintenance.

"This apartment is well kept, very clean, comfortable, with all facilities at high level and abundancy. Interior very nice and cozy. SPECTACULAR views from the terrace, definitely that makes this apartment special. The hosts very nice people, very attentive and helpful. Even helped me to take off flat tire and fix it the nearest garage. Communication excellent. If you are in Morgan's Bay, this is would an excellent choice."

Property is managed so well that there is nothing to say negative.

The breakfest is great, they have also a private beach the pool was clean and all the area was clean the room was good too

"Just generally one of those special places that will stick in my memory forever. A collection of pretty little cabins by the beach surrounded by palm trees with hammocks slung between them for whiling away the days. With only the sounds of birds and waves. Where everyone just hangs out and chats, the staff, the other guests, the extremely interesting and gregarious owner Gregory (no pun intended). I could spend a week here just forgetting about the outside world. The various arrangements (airport transfer, transfer back to town, activities) all went smoothly as well. Which is my no means guaranteed in this part of the world."

Not much but if I went again I'd maybe pay a little more for the room with ensuite shower rather than sharing a communal shower with non locking door. Obviously this is budget accommodation in West Africa so it's of the rustic eco lodge variety rather than the western style hotel room variety in case anyone is expecting that.

"The hotel is great and in an amazing location which is right inside the airport. Staff were polite and amazing, great buffet breakfast, there is mini zoo which had wildlife such as monkeys, crocodile, tortoise, parrot, ostriches, peacocks etc. The rooms and facilities was great and it was a great stay. They provided free shuttle to the airport which is a bonus."

The pool could do with a bit of cleaning.

"Krásný resort v nádherné zahradě o kterou je každý den pečováno, snídaně formou bufetu je naprosto dostačující, bungalovy jsou moc pěkné a našla jsem zde vše co jsem potřebovala, čistý bazén a soukromá pláž jsou další plusové body tohoto resortu, je třeba počítat s tím, že během pobytu někdy vypne elektrika, ale to je problém ostrovu Sao Tome nikoli resortu a my s tím počítali. Doporučuji výlet na ostrov Rolas, navštívit místo ďáblova tlama, vodopády, na recepci určitě poradí. Projeli jsme celý ostrov a lepší ubytování jsme opravdu nenašli. Dokonalá dovolená, děkujeme a DOPORUČUJEME"

"Dvůr se nachází víceméně na golfovém hřišti, vše krásně upravené. Wellness prvotřídní a také servis na recepci a v restauraci byl velice příjemný a osobní. Moc jsme si pobyt, byť to byla jen zastávka na cestě za rodinou, užili!"

"The hotel was exceptional from arriving to leaving. The little touches make it extra special like free mini bar, little gifts in your room every evening, water hampers on the beach. The beach is amazing, all rooms have perfect views. Staff are very attentive. Breakfast has the best choices, one of the best I have had. Michelin star restaurant is fabulous would definitely recommend."

"It was old fashioned in a lovely sort of way. Rooms were private and the grounds are lovely. Huge pool!"

A little further from the main area of town but a nice walk.

"Breakfast was excellent, staff was friendly, pools and sea possibility was truly excellent. Very big and safe place to be. Security was in very good level. Lovely site."

Only couple of persons spoke english. Several restaurants in hotel, but you could only book online with one. When you come to hotel everything is in spanish, luckily I had colleague who could speak spanish so he was able to translate how to book breakfast, lunches and dinners etc.

"This was our fourth Christmas holidays at Vila Bicuda. Everything was excellent, as always, except that we were accommodated in a house that had recently been renovated, and there was a strong smell of paint in the bedroom."

Nalepená žvýkačky v spa, která tam byla i druhý den. V místě, kde se snídaní, bylo pár špinavých židlí.

"Ocenila jsem prostorný a klidný pokoj, malý bazén a především vstřícného majitele Joshe a jeho personál. Taky místní restauraci, kde bylo možné za příplatek se výborně najíst."

Zažila jsem poměrně masívní výpadek proudu, takže pár hodin nefungovala klimatizace. To ovšem může rezort ovlivnit jen velmi okrajově.

The fact that, despite the heat, rooms were not supplied with drinking water & this had to be ordered from room service at $5 a small bottle. We had just arrived from staying at the Hamilton Princess hotel in Bermuda &, as is normal for luxury hotels of this standard, that had no problem in supplying drinking water to guests free of charge.

The meal quality for dinner was reasonable. The breakfast buffet was poor.

Restaurace Orangerie skoro každé jídlo se muselo doplácet i přes zaplacenou polopenzi a i přes to nesplnilo očekávání. Ostatní restaurace byly chutnější, s větším výběrem a bez doplatku. Vůbec jsem nepochopil proč to tak je nastavené. Možná i proto tato restaurace byla vždy prázdná a ostatní plné.

Too many kids - weather was a bit rainy so they were mostly inside...

"We liked the location with very close proximity to the beach, pools and restaurants.Staff were overall very friendly and welcoming.The range of restaurants was great and the food superb. We ate at them all (Sensai, Blue Moon, Il Mascherati di Venizia, Route 66, Margarita and El Carey/ La Tortuga ) with the only exception being Villa Marina, which proved problematic to book a table. The beach was clean and well maintained with plenty of sun loungers available.Our room was a good size and cleaned by the staff daily with lovely little touches like fresh flowers and abundant clean towels and shampoo/conditioner."

On arrival it would have been helpful to have had it explained that all information regarding booking restaurants, knowing the daily entertainment schedule and viewing menus etc was on the hotel app. It was three days before we realised this! We didn't like the branded drinks being charged as extras. If you like certain brands of drink you will be charged for them. Local equivalent drinks are only covered in the standard all inclusive package. Three of the restaurants have a pre-booking policy. It states on the app that these can be booked from 07-30 each day. We found that if you left it until 07-30 most of the tables had been booked. Therefore the earlier you get up to book a table, the better your chances of securing a place in the restaurant of your choice. Frustratingly, we were not able to book a table at Villa Marina during our two week stay. Every time we tried it was fully booked:this was incredibly disappointing!!!! Finally, a WARNING to other visitors. One day when we were on our way to lunch, we were duped with an offer of a free massage if we were prepared to give up twenty minutes of our time to hear about the membership deals on offer by the hotel group. Two hours later, after a non stop, in your face , hard sell by the sales team we couldn't take any more and walked out. Thankfully, we were mature and strong willed enough to resist the sales team. Many others probably capitulate and sign for a deal they may reflect later they do not want. Investing between 10,000 and 20,000 dollars is no joke, especially when they don't want to give you time to reflect on the deal and decide in a calm and balanced way. The whole process spoiled the last few days of our holiday and we hope others see this comment and are forewarned and refuse to be tricked into accepting offers of "free" massages or goody bags.

"Exceptional staff that turn this hotel into an unforgettable getaway. The whole place truly transports you somewhere else. The staff, coming from all over the Caribbean, were incredibly warm and friendly, making our stay feel genuinely special. The owner was fantastic—always present, talking with us, sharing stories, and really bringing them to life. It has been a delightful trip and a wonderful stay. We travelled with kids and it was the perfect set up. There are no real windows (only blinds and mosquito nets), so when the kids got loud, the neighbors could hear us. However room ventilation is really good, as there is a nice breeze at night. The location is also very convenient, well connected to both the north and the south. The food was surprisingly very good for a 4 night stay, breakfast was delicious. The pool and surroundings are wonderful. Would stay here every time I go back to Dominica."

The beach sand was a bit uncomfortable with lots of rocks and twigs.

"S pobytem jsme byli celkově spokojeni, hezké ubytování, výborné jídlo, Široké časové rozpětí podávání snídaně i večeře. Hodně jsme cestovali do centra města MHD, dobrá dostupnost zastávek MHD a bonus linka 230 přímo k hotelu. Pokoj moc hezký, postele pohodlné, personál ochotný."

Tobogány nebyly vždy otevřeny všechny, vždy v určitém intervalu fungovala jen polovina, každé dvě hodiny se to střídalo, ale nakonec nám to nevadilo.

"Great snorkelling around the over water bungalows, lots of turtles feeding on the seagrass. Beautiful location, so relaxing. Beach access bungalows are very nice, newly renovated, comfy bed. Pool was awesome. Appreciated the sea bird conservation in the island. I actually loved the sounds of the Puffin de Pacifique birds at night - I thought it was a child crying at first lol… bungalows have earplugs, luckily! Complimentary buffet breakfast was good. Got a generous late check out, service was really good from the boat to the front desk to the restaurant and bar. Everyone speaks a very high level of English, not sure where the negative comments about staff come from - they were the best I experienced in NC by far."

It’s an expensive buffet dinner (around $80aud) but the choices were really good, esp the fresh seafood and all the desserts. It’s just not worth it if you don’t eat huge dinners. Order à la carte options instead, but nice to try the buffet just once. Consider BYO noodles and alcohol if you want to save money, buying food and drinks from the restaurant and bar adds up quick. Would have been good to be able to lock/unlock the back beach access door from outside with a key.
