"I truly appreciated the direct access to the lake. The staff were so welcoming and attentive to my needs. One of them negotiated the price for me to get a ride tour of the town in moto bike. I received the greatest breakfast since long ago, with a great coffee."

"This place has a very relaxed vibe with great spots to sit at the lake and have a cold beer or enjoy your breakfast as you see the fishermen come in. The beds are comfortable and the lake offers a refreshing swim. Also the staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home."

"Beautiful lake views from the room (balcony), and from the breakfast / restaurant location. Friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast service. Quality food. Places like Sagabay and Serena hotel are within a 10 minute drive (with scenic lake views)."

"I am not a breakfast person so I did not take any just the African tea. This place is extremely underrated. It is a nature lover's dream. It is clean, quiet and serene. You have a balcony with comfortable chairs to chill and enjoy the sound of the waves from the Kivu lake and birds chirping. The staff are very friendly. I traveled with my elderly mother who had some medical emergency in the middle of the night and the hotel totally accommodated us. It was so unfortunate we were there for only 1 night. We had way more for the value of our money and I will be back soon."

"The location and gardens are amazing and the staff very professional, friendly and helpful. Their chef is a wizard in the kitchen and the meals expertly prepared. And then there is the resident fur baby - Sparky, who welcomes you to the property! The Lodge is also conveniently located close to the Volcanoes National Park and there are little touches such as preparing snacks to take with when you go gorilla trekking and cleaning muddy boots that make the stay extra special. The lounge and dining areas are spacious and well-appointed. My room was huge and in the evenings the staff add warm water bottles to your bed and light a fire so the room is cosy when you return from dinner."
