Dating back to the 14th century, Ronnum Herrgård is housed in a manor at the southern point of Lake Vänern. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with a flat-screen TV. "An old herrgård, nicely kept, it feels like spending a night in a museum. The gardens are beautiful and give the hotel a calm and relaxing vibe, despite nearby road and industry. The little spa is a nice touch and quite new, plus we had a private sauna in our room. Breakfast was nice, too."
"The beds were far too soft. That needs to be changed. There were very loud guests smoking and drinking in front of the main building, until midnight, when finally the manager told them to go to a different spot, because several guests had complained. I would have appreciated it, if they had done something about the noise a little bit faster."
"Came to ride some of the bikepaths /sykkelleder in the area. Found a good loop, the Trollhättan-Vänersborg loop. The Ronnums Herrgard staff accommodated locking the bikes away at night. There are several bike paths crossing the area."
"The bridges and paths between Vänersborg and Vargön was a bit busy with cars, but the bike lanes was separat from the traffic. So all in all good."

"This was the property that we were most looking forward to during our visit to Sweden. We were not disappointed. The room was large and comfortable, with the separate bathroom and an added bonus of a sauna. We loved the vintage feel and the history of the place. Breakfast was an excellent spread, catering for all tastes. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our meal in the restaurant was exceptional. Free parking on site. We spent 3 days exploring the Halle-Hunneberg area. A very special experience."
