"Our hostel location was changed at the last hours to a different location from what was booked. We were moved to Code Hostel Lavender from Kampong Glam some 1.3 km further. Not pleased at all. Some computer issues. Quarters and especially the bathroom were very small."

"I stayed at the Code Hostel for two nights. The hostel is conveniently located next to the Muslim Quarters and Little India. The bus stop is right outside. The beds and bathroom were clean and the dorms were quiet at night unlike the other hostel in stayed in Singapore. Laundry was available at an affordable price. The staff especially Himsara and Nikhila were very friendly and attentive to my needs. For a hostel in Singapore, Code Hostel met my expectations."

"The walls inside the dorm were damp and mouldy. The light from the exit sign inside the dorm also was little disturbing. The hostel lacked the vibe/ social atmosphere and opportunities for connecting with fellow travellers including to learn about the activities you can do in Singapore."

"Liked the fact that it was a cosy and quiet place. Though the road outside is a dedicated bus lane so it's difficult if you have to walk from the MRT to the hostel. That could be posted upfront so while booking tourists are aware. Rest it was good, neat, clean and tidy. Though the housekeeping can do change the sheets atleast once not when the person leaves."

"The road outside the hostel is a dedicated bus lane. So cabs won't stop if you have luggage. And it is a long walk from the nearest MRT if you have luggage. That way if it's posted on the website it will help."

"such a great location - easy to access the MRT and so many good food options. plus next to attractions! I even got upgraded to the female dorm which was a lovely touch as it has half the amount of bunks as the mixed dorm. They provide a decent size under bed storage with a key - it’s not the most sturdiest but definitely does the job. I was able to fit a 60L backpack in there. irrelevant if your top or bottom bunk you get storage under the bed. it was such a good price in comparison to other places. as always if you’re sleeping in dorms I recommend earplugs. there is no natural light in the rooms if that bothers you but they do leave the lights on through the night in the bunks that are awaiting guests checking in late so an eye mask is always useful!"

"I’ll be honest.. I did see a huge rat in the common area TWICE. the back door is open so it just comes in and out. mindful that it is Asia so I didn’t care too much - it just reminded me to not walk around barefoot!"
