"It's a nice apartment on the third floor, in a quiet neighborhood. There are a supermarket and ATM's nearby, as well as a few restaurant within walking distance . The kitchen and shower are bit tiny but the bed is comfortable. Though I never met the landlady in person, Mrs. Diallo was always swift to respond through WhatsApp to all of my questions."

"We stayed several days in the apartment. The location in Mermoz is a good starting point to all destinations in dakar. By crossing the corniche road you will find a great beach with bars/sheds at the seaside in less than 10 minutes walking. The appartement is in a residential area. We felt very safe at night and had chats with the neighbours every day. The Building has a rooftop to chill. AC and mosquito nets at the window were working properly. Mrs Diallo and her local guard helped us where they could. We recommend the stay!"

"This is not a negative comment about the appartement. But may be important for other europeans to know: As I mentioned, ac and antimosquito nets at windows were fine. Still we wanted to use a mosquito net over the bed. The apartments did not have a mosquito net, nor a hanger to hang it. We bought a mosquito net at the pharmacy, which was perfect and hanged it with our own construction. There are not many restaurants and bars nearby. Still we found one bar (mermoz bar) which was cool and locals who offer breakfast / fast food on the streets."

"Very spacious room with big comfortable bed. Clean. Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood of Dakar. It felt safe. The man who works there is very nice and helpful! The owner always replied quick to our questions by message. We took the private shuttle from the airport that she suggested, that was a good option to get to the place quick and easy."

"I had a very good stay at Résidence Hadja Ambre in Dakar. The accommodation was clean, well located in a very safe area with many embassies nearby, and central enough to easily get a taxi and move around the city. Hadja was an extraordinary host, really reflecting the warmth and kindness I experienced in Senegal. She was always available and helpful. One evening, when I was too tired to go out, she even brought me a free homemade meal to the room. It was delicious and generous enough for two meals. Bouba at reception was also excellent and very professional. Considering the quality of the welcome, the cleanliness, the location, and the overall experience, I found it to be very good value for money. I can definitely recommend staying here."

"The only negative point for me was that there was no top bedsheet between me and the blanket, only the fitted sheet on the mattress. As someone who works in hospitality, that made me a bit uncomfortable, since blankets are not usually washed between every guest."
