"The staff made little effort to explain to us the city, environments and the hotel (e.g. to explain the minibar system in the room without any price list; or recommendations for dinner). Some of the breakfast dishes were served (even though served in a nice hand of Fatima platter) to other guests before us, leaving breadcrumbs inside, which doesn’t appeal."

"Beautiful looking Dar, very comfortable firm bed, fantastic shower pressure! The hammam area was very pretty and the tea and strawberries there were lovely. I was a bit confused by them asking if we had a good hammam when there was no steam, it we enjoyed the jacuzzi!"

"Freezing outside our room (it did seem exceptionally cold weather though). Fatima was lovely and very helpful, though some of our communications seemed to be lost in translation! Although they very helpfully tried to cater for my dietary requirements, dinner was cold (albeit tasty), as was coffee and my partners eggs in the morning - both on the table before he got there"

"The interior decoration was stunning, experiencing a traditional Tunisia home and the history made this place magical and the warmth of the staff. Fatima was extremely welcoming and helpful. The views from the rooftop over Kairouan were unforgettable , when the new cafe opens it will be a fabulous place to eat and drink Fatima arranged a lovely vegetarian meal during Ramadan and an early breakfast before our return to Tunis. "Very good location. Excellent breakfast. Dar Koraich is richly but tastefully decorated. You feel like you are entering a boutique museum or ancestral home. This was probably the most beautiful place we stayed at during our 10-day trip."

"The slabs on which you stand in the shower are not stable (they wobble) making one uncertain as to why this is happening. Also water would seep under the front slab and so we were forced to place a towel there to prevent water from going everywhere on the bathroom floor. This could easily be fixed on short notice."

"This was one of the most memorable stays we had in Tunisia. This beautifully restored family home bears testimony to the local traditions and way of life. The entire building is crafted with remarkable care in its decoration, complemented by an impressive collection of antiques that adds even more character. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast there, and the food was plentiful and excellent. The owners and staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience the authentic atmosphere of the old Medina of Kairouan. It is perfectly located in the historic center of Kairouan, and offers free parking and easy walking access to all major sights."

"A very beautiful small courtyard guest house. The best place we stayed in during a 2 week trip. Clean and comfortable. Located in the old city near one of the gates and easily accessible on foot from taxi drop-off. Staff was very helpful and welcoming, speaking at least 3 languages. Breakfast was very generous and delicious"

"We were received with extraordinary kindness, warmth, and attentiveness that made us feel instantly at home. The house itself is breathtaking, truly from another era (since 1620). Every corner is a masterpiece: vintage, authentic, richly detailed, yet perfectly maintained and cozy. It feels like stepping into living history, but with all the comfort of modern times. The décor, the colors, the ceilings, the antiques… everything is unique and full of soul. The location couldn’t be better. Situated right next to Bab Jalladin in the Kairouan Medina, it’s literally two or Five minutes from all major attractions. You can walk everywhere. The perfect base to explore the city. We absolutely loved our stay, and we will come back. Highly, highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
