"This place is truly special. Patti and her team were incredible - nothing was ever too much trouble. The chefs, Sparky and Mate, cooked the most delicious fresh meals every day, and the whale watching tours with Vilemi and Aho were unforgettable. The location is stunning: even in high season it felt quiet, peaceful, and like I had the island almost to myself. It’s the perfect place to switch off and recharge."

"The 7-hour gap between lunch and dinner was tough with no shops on the island - something more than crackers and PB (even just a bowl of fresh fruit) would have been appreciated. My cabin felt overpriced for its condition: it was tired, cobwebby, and had only a trickle of water from the tap and shower. Without the hot camp showers provided, washing my hair would have been impossible. The accommodation could use a refresh. Overall: The pros far outweigh the cons - a magical place with an amazing team that makes it well worth the trip."

"Beautiful rustic location. We really enjoyed the ambience of the place and friendly staff. It was also great to detach for a while. Very limited wifi, solar showers and lanterns all added to the ambience. The whale watching experience was fantastic. Thank you to Patti and all the staff."

"Patti was amazing. From greeting us upon arrival, to sorting a dispute over the phone chargers with another guest, she was always approachable and helpful. Due to the windy conditions on one day while we were out on the boat, we were unable to swim with the whales. Patti offered a generous discount. Special mention to Jack, our guide on the last day, whose knowledge and experience was invaluable. The kitchen staff cooked wonderful meals. Our room was quiet and peaceful."

"We felt that the guide we had on the first day should have reported to Patti that we were unable to swim with the whales, due to the windy conditions. Our party of four paid a large amount of money ( $US 800) for this experience and were disappointed. After I spoke to Patti, we were given a compensation. Also, some snacks ( apart from bananas) would have been appreciated between meals. Would have been happy to pay for muesli bars, chips etc."
