"Hotel je opravdu krásný, na nádherném místě, bezvadně se z něj dostanete do města a na lyže a personál byl velmi vstřícný. Pokoj jsme měli prostorný, vybavení je sice asi starší, ale čisté a funkční. Engelberg je fajn a lyžování pecka."

"Snídaně jsou základní a stále stejné, ale stačí - od míchaných vajec po jogurt. Kafe ujde. Večeře jsou za 50CHF na osobu a nám za tu cenu přišla slabá, ale byli jsme jen jednou, třeba to bylo dnem. Každopádně můžete se během 10 minut chůze (a jízdy výtahy) dostat do města a dát si něco tam."

"Starší horský hotel se zajímavou atmosférou. Úžasné spojení s městečkem pomocí výtahů a tunelů. Skvělý přístup personálu. Auto jsme nechali na parkovišti i po checkoutu, a po návratu z výletu jsme se mohli ještě osprchovat."

"We were lucky to be in one of the recently renovated rooms. It was quite small, but fully equipped, including a kettle with tea and coffee. We didn't find the lift from the village on arrival, took the long way round up the hill, but once we'd found it, access to the village was very quick and convenient. The view from the hotel is magnificent."

"The price of the dinner buffet left a sour taste. Neither my 14 year old daughter nor I drank the wine, but we were still charged full price, 49 CHF each, for a not very impressive buffet. It felt like a rip-off that we were subsidising other guests' wine consumption. Ate there once and not again."

"The are two types of rooms. The first one is in the “old” building with small balcony and valley view. The view is great but the furnishings and moquette is a bit old-style. The second type of room is fully modern and clean looking in the new part of the hotel. Both were clean and silent. There is a hidden system of caves and lifts to bring you from the town level to the hotel up there. Luggage room with combination is also very nice. The staff is very friendly, including the waiters and the “maitre “ Claudiu, who took care of us while my gf had a ski accident. The evening restaurant is “buffet” style and has a fixed price, some meals were very good"

The hotel building itself is beautiful, a wonderful historic construction. I also loved the elevator located about 300 meters from the train station — if you arrive by train, you don’t need to walk uphill, as the elevator takes you directly to the hotel reception."

"We stayed for two nights and had a great time. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The ladies at reception were helpful when we checked in and gave great recommendations for dining in the town. The gentleman who worked in the Gin bar was very knowledgeable and attentive. The servers at the breakfast buffet were lovely too! The hotel was very clean and access to the main town was very convenient."
