Pozitivní bod:

"The view and location over the water is stunning. The over the water villa is an amazing place with great ambience. Snorkel off the deck, kayak or paddleboard. The see-through floors are cool, but your real view is off the deck at night as the sting rays and cuttlefish move in. The kitchen is adequate, the air conditioning works great at night until about 4am, then the power drain shuts off the major appliances. The breakfast was outstanding. The cook staff made changes every morning to keep it interesting. Eggs, toast, fresh fruit, and bacon were a part of every breakfast. Sometimes we had pancakes, sometimes rice and beans. Always hot and fresh, cooked in the over water villa kitchen. Can't say enough good things about this. Eric was our water taxi captain and property manager. He was always willing to leave at a moments notice. He has a lot of local knowledge, so don't be afraid to ask him."

"So this is the hard part. We had a large group, 12 people. We researched everything we could, read all the reviews, but never seemed to get the full overview of the property. We contacted the owners about the high price of additional guests, but never received an answer about why, or what was included. We booked this anyway, based on all the positive reviews and pictures, but here is the reality: the birdhouse is ONLY 2 bedrooms on the upper floor, with a large deck. No kitchen, no access to the lower floor. This also means no storage or refrigerator for the 8 guests that this is supposed to accommodate. Horrible accommodations for the additional price. The vanities had come loose from the walls in the bathroom and were tilted so bad that anything left on them would roll off. The property manager sleeps below, and uses the upstairs kitchen for his personal use. We were told we could make coffee in there, but not use the full kitchen. Both toilets would stick and water would run all day, draining the water system, so that had room be monitored daily or turn the supply off to the tanks. The overall property is showing its age. House rules, only 4 people may sleep in the over water villa. The drinking water dispenser broke on the second day, no way to fix it. Rotten boards on the deck broke, fortunately no one was hurt. The distance to Bocas town is about a 15 to 20 minute boat ride. 1 trip per day comes with the rental price, additional trips are $75/trip. Most tours or dive trips will not pick you up here, so any activity or tour will cost you an additional $75-$100 versus staying in Bocas or Carernero. Use your trips wisely. If shopping for groceries go the large 3 story grocery store/hardware/ pharmacy store downtown Bocas, they have the best selection and good prices."
