"It was clean, thoughtfully decorated, great mood lighting and soundproofing. Really kind, attentive and helpful staff. I especially appreciated that the windows fully blocked out daylight, making it easier to sleep late when I wanted to."

"The owners (Marie and George) were very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, fresh bread every day and a great variety of both sweet and savory options. Everything was delicious, and the homemade jams were a wonderful bonus! George was very good breakfast chef. We highly recommend this place."

"What a splendid place to escape from the stress of modern life and such a genial host! Yes it's an old fortified chateau gentrified in the 19th century that shows it's age. But our room was clean, spacious and full of appropriate furniture and ornaments/paintings etc. The bed was the most comfortable that we have slept in apart from our home for many years. A substantial breakfast with local produce and as much coffee as we wanted. In a breakfast/dining room totally in keeping with the style exhibited throughout. The gardens are a treasure trove of mature trees and leisurely paths to explore. We do not pass this way very often but would not hesitate to return. Don't expect to stay in a modernised renovated period house. It's not, but if you relax and appreciate the ambiance you will not go far wrong."

"Very nice house with a huge beautiful garden. Also nice to have a garage for our car. Everything we needed was there. The sauna seems not to be working (although we did not ask because it was too hot). The chickens are friendly and fun (but of course they poop in the garden ;))."
