We like the rural location and it was wonderful to see the Milky Way on a clear night and to hear owls hooting. It was great to be welcomed with a cup of tea whenever we arrived back from a day out. "We loved La Mesnagerie. The hostess greeted us by offering us a cup of tea - quite unusual in France and very welcome. The property was lovely - it is quite old and has an almost magical feel, with lots of attractive ornaments, furniture and artwork. We enjoyed having breakfast round the table with other guests and the little touches like the home made jam. Our bed was very comfortable and overall we found the whole experience charming. We definitely hope to visit again."

"the dinner was EXCELLENT. we had a mushroom soup with some sort of thai curry, followed by some kind of stew dish that was super filling and excellent fuel for our hike the next day. The availability of card/board games to play with our family was very much appreciated, thank you"

"The accommodation is a pleasant short walk away from the centre of a lovely little historic town which has some good restaurants. The room was comfortable, very clean and attractive. It was possible to prepare a simple meal. Each money we received a bag of delicious fresh croissants and bread. We were also supplied with milk and yoghurt and coffee pods."

Room clean, compact and comfortable, very quiet. Garden was wonderful as there was a heatwave but sitting under the pine trees there was always a breeze. Breakfast simple but plentiful. Prices of drinks at bar very reasonable. Staff helpful and pleasant."
