"A lovely house on a quiet street. It’s only a 5–10 minute drive to Puy du Fou, or about a 30–40 minute walk — and if you don’t have a car, like us, it’s quite easy to get there along the bike path. Our room looked beautiful, with a charming French atmosphere. The bed and linens were very comfortable, and the temperature could be adjusted with both the air conditioner and the heater. In the bathroom, you’ll find plenty of towels, tissues, fan, and a selection of soaps to choose from. The room was cleaned daily, and every day we received bottled water, chocolate candies, and a fresh rose in a vase! The French breakfast included a variety of breads with spreads and a dessert. Since I have a sensitive stomach, the owner personally picked mint from his garden so I could have tea. You can also use the kettle at any time of day. The owner took great care of us; he helped us with the car twice and even drove us himself once. We absolutely recommend this place for your stay!"

"There’s no soundproofing, but our neighbors were quiet — and we spent most of the day at Puy du Fou anyway. It might be nice to have a ventilation fan in the bathroom."

"An ideal location for visiting Puy De Fou or travelling on to the Vendee. Large rooms, spotless in converted farm buildings. Breakfast was a lovely surprise of fresh orange juice and local breads and pastries."

"What a great find! Very pretty and homely bed and breakfast tastefully decorated and with a warm atmosphere. Perfectly situated only 5 minutes drive from Puy du Fou and easy to find. Jean-Pierre was an exceptional host and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable, even providing freshly home baked pastries in the morning for breakfast. It is a perfect example of how to run a guest house."

"The steep ladder up to the mezzanine might be a bit scary for little children but an adventure for our two boys (9&12)"

"Jean-Pierre is a very kind host and we enjoyed his company and the tales he told. We had a downstairs garden room which was very big, cool even though there was no aircon, good hanging space and ample drawers. Bed, though firm, was very comfortable. Breakfast was outside but under cover, and though simple, was very adequate, our host really couldn't do enough. Not much going on in the village but for eating out, there are a couple of close-by options, or a 12 minute drive into Les Herbiers for more choice."

"Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would've been useful . . . and maybe some toiletries would have just put the finishing touches on our stay."
