"Beroze and Michael were so welcoming and the house is a treasure trove of Indian art and history. Breakfast was continental and included some lovely fruit each morning from the market. Access to the beautiful garden and especially the sheltered patio space was perfect for relaxing in with a book. we even learned something of the endless variety of cultures and customs of India from Michael"

"This is really interesting place to stay, so many beautiful artefacts. Loved the ‘Museum tour’ of the house Michel gave us; Beroze was super helpful at suggesting places to eat and providing cups of tea. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and yoghurt. The room was super clean and very spacious with lots of storage space. Loved looking at all the fascinating collections."

"A strange but very nice place in the centre of La Rochelle. The decorations are beautifully bizarre. The room we stayed in was very quiet, even while being in the centre of La Rochelle. Restaurant Koya (Japanse, Peruvian) is nearby and certainly worth checking out."

"La Residence des Indes is run by a lovely lady who welcomed us into her unusual and interesting home. This town house had a beautiful courtyard in the centre and our room was very big and comfortable. Breakfast was good."
