"The two (large) room apartment with a super big walk in shower was fantastic and the kitchen was really well equipped. All the windows had mosquito screens fitted and even on hot nights we just opened them and never had to use the fan which Viviane supplied. The breeze was great. When we expressed an interest in visiting a Château, Gerard arranged it and even accompanied us. The village of Bourg sur Girond is a mile away and has the best Carrefour I have ever seen as well as a lovely Sunday market, only beaten by the fantastic one in Blaye. The internet is the fastest we have experienced on this trip."
"The village of Pain de Sucre is between, and an hour from Bordeaux city and Royan, so a car is essential. There is one riverside restaurant (very romantic) nearby but others need a car to get to."
"The apartment was lovely, really clean, incredibly chic, stylish and comfortable. It was perfect for our family and 2 kids (pre teen + older teen). The beds were comfortable, even the sofa bed. There were plenty of games to play in the apartment, a soccer ball for games in the garden and we loved the darts board.! The nearby village, Bourg sur Gironde, was a short drive /walk/bike ride away, was a beautiful historical town with a great Sundy market and had some lovely places to eat including the best boulangerie in France! Vivien and Gerald were lovely hosts and we had a really lovely time there."

"Perfect setting in a beautiful tranquil place. Our two bedroom Villa was very comfortable with all the facilities we needed. Great Central place to tour the Bordeaux region. Wonderful hosts, Vivien is exceptional and was very thoughtful. Upon two occasions bringing us juicy Cherries she had just picked and hand cutting her own beautiful roses from Vila Bacchus and offering them for my Birthday. Quite exceptional. I would highly recommend staying here for the beautiful area and for touring plus being looked after by a lovely couple."

"Marion and husband are so accommodating making us feel most welcome on arrival. Villa Bacchus is a wonderful attractive rural property on the outskirts of Bourg-sur-Gironde opposite the Dordogne River. The modern apartment is part of the original 200 year old mansion and is very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The apartment is very well equipped with virtually every possible amenity. Thank you for lovely stay at Villa Bacchus."

"Very nice, big room with air conditioning/heating. The first evening we had a massage (additional charge). As we liked it very much, we booked an additional night. That day we used the Hot tub (additional charge). If you want to use the Hot tub on your first day, do not forget to let them know, as they might have to start warming the water in time. The breakfast was nice. The owner is very nice and helped us where he could. What is also nice is the small separate kitchen with an outdoor dining area. There you can cook and eat, and there is a Fridge/freezer"
"Velmi přátelská paní domácí. Ubytování v překrásné lokalitě se zahradou a terasou. Zkrátka jako u maminky. Paní má také psa a kočku, které jsou také přátelské. Škoda že jsme zde byli jen dva dni. Určitě se sem někdy vrátíme."

"We booked last minute but received the warmest of welcomes from Emilie who was so accommodating. The location was perfectly situated with stunning views directly from our veranda. The tent contained everything for our stay and it was warm, comfortable and cozy. I would highly recommend a visit to their farmshop where they have a selection of homemade, jams, juices, syrups and vinaigrette. We will most definitely be back next year. "Location ideal for our visit to Chenonceau (10 minutes drive). Fatima is superhost material…very friendly, helpful and discreet. Accommodation was very comfortable. Quirky, boutique-style decor. Lovely small outside garden area with a relaxing seating area where a simple and more-than-adequate continental breakfast is served. Out of five stars…? Six!"
