A bit noisy customers second night but it was okay

"Ubytování bylo krásné jako na fotkách. Recepce měla otevřeno až do 3 do rána, takže nebyl problém se ubytovat i pozdě v noci. Sprchy byly čisté a otevřené po celou dobu pobytu a personál byl velmi ochotný. U vstupu byla dokonce zdarma voda a šťáva. Ideální hostel pro páry."

Jediné, co jsme lehce postrádali, byla malá polička v prostorách postele, kam bychom mohli přes noc odložit telefony. Spali jsme na horní palandě, takže jsme se báli, aby telefon nepropadnul na hosty spící pod námi.

"Velmi milý hostitel (místní pekař). Ráno při odchodu čekal na schodek polštářek (podprdelník) a moje boty s malým dárkem. Doporučuju si objednat snídani - chleba byl fenomenální. Ubytování je přímo na Caminu. Všechno bylo čisté a hostitel byl připraven s čímkoliv pomoci."

"Lovely staff, really informative and kind. The hostel Backpackers was clean, comfortable and nice inside and out. Absolutely brilliant location - close to bus stops, Cuba Street, good eateries and has all you could need in the Backpackers. A fully functional kitchen, a lounge where you can chill with your buddies, board games to play, a nice outdoor deck. I also like the fact they had a female only bathroom downstairs. The showers were excellent, too!"

The bedroom I stayed in didn't have a lock that worked on the door, which was a bit concerning. I don't love that.

"This place is simply fabulous - clean, quiet, cozy, everything works, in a great location near night market, mall, fast food etc, easily reachable by bus, yet, some rooms face forest. It's self check-in, all information is provided timely and clearly, communication is brilliant and any questions promptly answered. One of the best place to stay ever."

There is nothing not to like. But, as you need a code to enter your room, its probably not a good idea to rush to the toilet in the middle of the night, and forgetting phone with the code in the room 😊 (didn't happen, but could 🤣). Love it here...

"The views from the house is amazing! The beaches nearby are empty and beautiful, and you got a bit of a local vibe. Food was really good and in general good value for money. Would highly recommend. If you come to surf be aware that there is no good places to rent proper surfboards nearby🏄‍♀️"

"The hostel was pretty clean. The staff at the reception were friendly, helpful, and patient. They have a lot of knowledge about tourism in Bagan and were always happy to give advice or answer questions. It was also very convenient that they can help you book buses directly at the hostel, and that you can rent e-bikes. Another big plus is the atmosphere. The hostel is social, but not in an overwhelming way. It’s not loud or pushy. There are great opportunities to connect with other travelers if you want, but you can also just sit by the pool and enjoy some quiet time. I think this place is perfect both for people looking for peace and quiet and for those who want to meet others."

There wasn’t much to complain about. The only small improvement I can think of would be adding curtains to the beds, which would give a bit more privacy.

"Ravehei je hostel pro duchem mladé lidi. Kuchyně se nachází pod střechou na dvorku, ale uvaříte, je tam vše, co potřebujete. Věcí dáte do chladničky . Užíváte společné toalety a sprchu. Něco nefunguje, ale to se dá prominout, vždyť je to pobyt za pár korun! Nedaleko je obchůdek, kde se dá koupit pečivo na druhý den, voda a pivo. Pobyt jsme si užili."

"Ubytovna/hostel, takže očekávání jsem neměla žádné. Bezkontaktní check-in/out. Pokoj byl jednoduše zařízený, čistý, stranou ubytovaných dělníků. Sociální zařízení super čistá. Lokalita není z nejpěknějších, ale je top vzhledem k blízkosti bus/vlak nádraží a supermarketů. Oceňuji nádoby na tříděný odpad na chodbách."

"Super papírové" stěny. Nejhorší, co jsem kdy zažila. Slyšet byl každý pohyb u sousedů a nepřidaly tomu ani hlučné spojovací dveře na schodiště. Doporučuju špunty do uší s sebou.

"Hostitelé byli velmi milí a po celou dobu našeho pobytu byli vždy přítomní ve společenských místnostech. Zajímali se, jestli jsme spokojení a zda je všechno v pořádku. Pokoj byl ideální velikosti, měl funkční klimatizaci a postel byla pohodlná. Lokalita byla klidná a v příjemné vzdálenosti od promenády. Ocenili jsme také možnost parkování ve dvoře."

WiFi občas vypadávala, ale výpadky byly velmi krátké (v řádech sekund).

"Líbila se mi lokalita i vybavení pokoje, funkční klimatizace, toaleta i umyvadlo na pokoji. Pokoj byl dostatečně velký i pro 6 postelí, bylo fajn, že celé patro bylo určené pro ženy, takže i soukromí ve sprchách, které byly společné pro celé patro, ale čisté."

Nemám, co vytknout.

"I tried a hostel for the first time and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. I went in a little sceptical, but a close friend strongly recommended this place—and it completely lived up to (and surpassed) my expectations. The property itself is stunning, perfectly located (a walkable radius from most important landmarks), with a rooftop view that’s hard to beat. But what really made the experience was the vibe—there’s such a natural sense of community here that just pulls you in. What I loved and will miss the most were the owners and staff, who are easily some of the warmest, most genuine people I met on this trip. Somehow managed to feel like I’d known them for ages by the time I left. Left with a full heart and would 100% want to stay here again."

Not easy to access by bike

"I was a single room in a Hostel, worked for me as I was working. Shared Bathroom and Toilet and it worked well for me. There was a kitchen downstairs and it was close to the town. I was able to park."

Maybe room door lock could be improved. Otherwise it met expectations

"Stunning setting, dynamic staff, interesting fusion of accommodation and working plant nursery. Bathroom feels like you are in the middle of the Amazon. Very refreshing."

Locating the Da Terra at night is not straightforward. It is surrounded by several houses and some distance off the road.

"Looked almost brand new in the rooms. And hallways. Floors and bathrooms were spotless."

"Doba and his family were exceptionally welcoming, outgoing, and fun. We spent three nights at chez doba, and went on two hikes each day, to different waterfalls, viewpoints, and villages. In the evening we played football with the children and drank beer and tea with the locals. Special shoutout to Amadou, our guide for our stay - a great guy! Highly highly highly recommend Campement Chez Doba to anyone visiting Senegal, its been the highlight of our trip. We also booked onto an extra trip with Doba to tour a nearby bedik village, which was very picturesque! Doba Tours also offers other tours around Senegal, including Dakar and Niocolo Koba National Park, which we didnt use, but heard good things from other guests. The food was good and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable!"
