"Přiznám se, že jsem si myslel, že zdejší obrázky vygenerovala AI. Ale když jsme tam přijeli, viděli jsme, že něco tak krásného skutečně existuje. Domy a jejich umístění je skutečně mimořádné, ale dávám pouze 9. K opravdové dokonalosti a pěti hvězdičkám je třeba ujít ještě pořádný kus cesty. Personál se opravdu snažil, ale zatím mu chybí potřebné zkušenosti. Ocenili jsme zejména bezproblémový shuttle mezi ubytováním a 2 km vzdáleným Nong Khiaw. Řidič nás dokonce vozil až přímo k našemu domu. Jen pár set metrů od ubytování se nachází jeden z nejlepších hiků oblasti Pha Mery. Ocenil jsem také, že ačkoliv jsem ubytování zabookoval za plnou cenu, tým se mi sám ozval, že nabízejí počáteční 30% slevu a ubytování mi zlevnil. Komunikace zejména přes zdejší chat byla příkladná a přesvědčila mě, že mám ubytování dát důvěru, třebaže otevřelo pár dní před tím a nemělo žádné recenze."

"Ubytování má ještě mnoho nedostatků. Od protékajících umyvadel, přes nedostatečné vybavení domů, občasné výpadky elektřiny (zřejmě není chyba ubytování), až po nemožnost platby kartou. Na severu Laosu je v zimě od večera do rána opravdu chladno - na péřovou bundu! - přičemž v domech chybí jakékoliv vytápění. Zima nám pobyt trochu komplikovala a výrazně snížila komfort bydlení. Hlavní budova stojí přímo u silnice, kudy přes den projíždějí těžké nákladní automobily. V noci to nevadí, ale přes den nelze mluvit o nějaké oáze klidu. Zdejší restaurace, která se teprve rozjíždí, kvůli tomu trpí."

"Lovely staff, beautiful situation. The shuttle into the village works well, saving a 25 minute walk. The restaurant serves excellent food (breakfast and dinner), and at very reasonable prices."

"Some chalets would deserve more maintenance. We were quite cold at night, they provided some blankets, but there was no heater. Also, the communication with them was not easy, they did not remember the topics we discussed which made it quite inconvenient."

"If you are searching for the peace and solitude of village life amidst stunning scenery in Nong Khiaw then Sook Village is exactly the place for it. Beautiful repurposed traditional houses with good electricity and sockets that can hold adaptors without being propped up. We had a house by the stream and the view from the bathroom was amazing! The water is hot, there is a lovely restaurant on site with fresh home cooked meals, a shuttle to take you into town and back and the team will make any arrangements for trips etc. for you. We didn't meet the legendary Ms Honey but our host Sanya was amazing and did everything to make our stay incredible. IMO there is no point making the trip to tourist trap Muang Ngoy - stay in Sook Village with the birds and the buffalo for a perfect slice of rural life"

"What a beautiful place to stay. By far the best place we have stayed travelling 3,5 months in Asia now. Location is extraordinary in the midst of some limestone mountains and surrounded by a creek. The garden is lush and the design very pretty. Also there is an eco kitchen garden that supplies the restaurant. There is so much life! Birds, butterflies crickets, hoppers. I kept on being surprised and in awe about the looks of the property. Just a bit different lights, some clouds, sunset, sunrise. I think I might have made 100 photos. Really nice owner and staff and free and easy transport to the town, which is a 5 min drive."

"Great place. Can't recommend more ! Sparkling clean. New. Delicious breakfast included. A little paradise. Kind staff. The peaceful nature around is incredible. Sooooo comfortable beds! Best sleep we had in months! We stayed 7 nights, would have stayed a month! Free transport to the town back and forth when resquested, but we walked most of times, the surroundings are so beautiful! And there is so much different hikes to do around !"

"We had an amazing time at Sook Village! Everything was wonderful! The location was brilliant … a little bit out of town, but no problem at all, as there’s always a tuk available to take you & pick you up! The setting was stunning! The rooms were really tastefully done and the service was fantastic! Honey at front of house was so very helpful, friendly and patient; and although, I never met the owner, Sam … he was very quick to respond to any messages and really helped with transport, etc to our next destination. Would definitely recommend!"
