"This is a very cozy and nice hotel during our trip. The bungalow sits on the gentle hill slope, with nice lawn and garden. The building has a long history, yet it is renovated like a new one while keeping all its historical feels. Basically it makes you feel like staying in a authentic and neat English garden. The living room and dining room is all very cozy, and also our bedroom. And importantly, the staff there are really nice. They are so warm and welcoming, always had a smile on their face. So it's really relaxing to stay there."

"We had an amazing time at Hill Cottage. It is a real hidden gem. Nestled behind the Grand Hotel, it gives the same old world charm but with a wonderfully personal touch. The team really seem to enjoy what they do and want to give everyone the best experience possible. Our son particularly loved the lively badminton matches with the staff who went out of their way to make him feel like family. He was so sad to leave. If you are looking for somewhere to stay that offers warm welcomes, big smiles and a touch of old world charm, Hill Cottage is for you!"

"Ubytování bylo velice příjemné. Pan hostilel se staral večer o zábavu a při výborné večeři nám hrál na bubny. Vzal nás na procházku po okolí. Zařídil nám Jeep do safari , o nic jsme se nemuseli starat. Možnost půjčení skútra. Na to že jsme byli ve stanu, cítila jsem se jako kdybych byla v chatce. Jestli pojedu ještě někdy do Yala safari, ubytuji se určitě tady."

"We had such a good, memorable time here. Taken very well care of by Manju (the owner), we enjoyed a very comfortable stay in the wild, off the beaten track, with beautiful nature all around us. The food was delicious and filling, vegetarian and vegan diets catered for completely. They lit us a fire one night and we enjoyed dinners by candlelight every night. The beds were super comfy and the large hut that we stayed in was very spacious - good for all bags and clothes. Manju organised our safari day and our trip to a local beach. He was ready to meet our every need and was very kind and friendly with our children too."

Our half day (evening) Safari guided by Nikki was great and we noted that most other vehicles in block A didn’t have a guide and hence struggled to spot wildlife. Some food was very good - especially the curries at lunch. We loved the set up for the dinner by the bonfire. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly."

"Very large spacious room, surrounded by nature. We even had birds with chicks nesting in our ceiling lampshade which was so cute. Our private pool was clean and the perfect spot to chill out after a long day of animal-spotting on safari. We saw leopards, a sloth bear, elephants, crocs - was brilliant!"
