"Excellent location in the forest near a farm house. Host was exceptionally nice and caring. We really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast and dinner was very good."

"Krásné, prostorné a útulné chatky. Malebné prostředí. Personál příjemný a aktivní, ve všem nám vyšel vstříc. V areálu jsme viděli spoustu zvířat, super spojení s přírodou. Pán má s areálem ještě velké plány, těšíme se, až se znovu vrátíme, až to bude celé hotové."

Příjezdová cesta byla aktuálně ve výstavbě.

"Staff were very accommodating, breakfast was great and we felt it was priced very well."

Unfortunately there weren’t enough cots but they ensured when we came back a couple of days later there was one for us. Perhaps a few more cots are needed.

"Very welcoming and happy staff. They were so kind and caring. The place was warm and the fire place in the common area was a nice touch (we visited in winter). Everything was explained so well. We loved the pool and onsen! Truly a spa resort! Thanks."

"The position. I was very skeptical due to bad reviews on booking.com but I found a well maintained and peaceful place. I was staying in a superior room, so can’t comment on the standard ones."

Restaurant choice was very limited but food was good

"Staff went above and beyond to make our stay for my birthday a wonderful experience. Hotel was in the perfect location for ease of access to the train station and the town itself. Amenities were clean and room was spacious."

Overall the decor and energy of the hotel felt a bit dated but not a massive complaint that would stop me from booking again in the future as there was more positives to outweigh the aesthetic.

Arrived at 11.30am to some "surprises" from the night before & no beer in the restaurant - someone had a great night! Good for them! Cleaning was dealt with quickly & beer was eventually delivered. A one-off, I'm sure..

The other villa R3 was not bad just that it could use some improvements in the spare bedrooms

"The room was very beautiful and comfortable. The food was excellent. The best we had in the Dominican Republic so far and the price is extremely reasonable. The staff was professional and friendly. I would definitely go back for the food and for the comfortable room."

We had to change room as we didn’t know from the description, that it was in a shared apartment. That information should be clear on booking.

"Ubytování je blízko pláže. Pokoj byl menší, hůře se větral. Na přespání byl ale dostačující. Personál byl nápomocný.Poradil, popovídali jsme o životě na Trinidadu. Poměr ceny, výkon v pořádku. V termínu zde nebylo otevřeno moc ubytovacích zařízení."

"This magical place in the hills is owned and run by Thierry who puts a great deal of care, detail and consideration into his guest's stay. His love of the land, plants and animals is evident. Thierry gave us a tour of the property plus an amazing breakfast which included a whole tasting activity with different jams and chocolate / cheese spreads ! The bed was very comfortable. We loved the jucazzi at night whilst stargazing We enjoyed relaxing in the morning looking out over the view."

Please note if you are walking it is a steep climb back up the hill.

"Pohotová komunikace s majitelem. Strávila jsem v Nicaragua celkem 5 týdnů a až tady jsem se poprvé sprchovala teplou vodou. Chata je celá vybudována v nádherném dřevěném rustikálním stylu. Pobyt jsem si naprosto užila. Mohu jen doporučit. Je to v blízkosti pláže, Maleconu a centra městečka. Podle lokalizace na booking.com jsem ubytování nenašla - to je asi jediná moje výtka."

"It was like staying at someone’s home. V good, helpful staff and bed was v comfortable. The food was surprisingly decent for such a small place. Picturesque location even though snow was sparse at the time"

Only gripe might be that the air was quite dry, making sleep quality not so good: might be because of it being a wooden bldg

"The people were so friendly and helpful. They gave us a free lift into town and back and answered all of our questions. The setting is beautiful next to the water with a lovely log cabin. I'd definitely stay again, especially in summer as it's a great alternative to Ciudad del Este."

It can be a bit cold if the weather isn't good.
