"this gem is perfectly located 45 min by bus from town center but very well connected; ideal for culture-lovers, for nature lovers, it is an architectural highlight (built 1983 but referring to modernism, quite elaboratedly) - wonderful garden, accomodation in single beds very simple but gorgeous, beautiful & special YH, very nice staff very basic but good breakfast, if you order it - it´s below 7 Euros. And you can use the communal kitchen (no real storing space though- but in good weather situations you may eat outside on wooden tables amid palm trees and unique plants!"

"the facility is an old gem and very special, I loved it besides the fact that one could hardly air out the rooms, ventilators in showers did not work, but I consider it´s worth it if you are interested in modernist architecture embedded in nature, it is a fair and community-engaging accomodation away from standard comfort with the luxury on far over standard atmosphere - you are rewarded by the most magnificent garden and off-loation close to the Brest Botanical garden, a little harbour and the maritime harbour area. No WIFI in rooms but in public area - there is a communal lobby and living room, which is huge and inviting, with table tennis, open fireplace etc. It was a bit loud bit fantastic - it´s a youth hostel par excellence"
