Era Beach

"Had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Era Beach Hotel with my family. Great place to relax overlooking the gorgeous sea view. Situated in a convenient location & serene environment. We stayed in suite with sea view and loved the beautiful view from the balcony. Rooms were spacious and well cleaned. Hotel staff were very friendly & attentive. Loved the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. Thank you Mr. Nalaka & team for the hospitality. Looking forward to another stay at Era Beach Hotel."

"Easy, comfortable, good location, pretty, went out of their way to insure our comfort at all times. Stayed in a room with private pool, never used the private pool as the main pool was just stunning to use but the room size and layout of this room was perfect for a long stay."

"Food was rather underwhelming, maybe because it was out of season even so they really tried. There is a couple of good restaurants near (walking distance)."

While it is just beside a very busy street, it is SO serene and you will feel like you are in a cocoon of serenity and tranquility when you stay at Era Beach. Amazing pool, beach views and beach breeze will provide for an amazing stay. The staff are incredibly nice, accommodating, helpful and kind. They make this place amazing."

"Some little things were not catered for and while they did not make our stay unpleasant it would have been nice to experience these little touches (it was previously managed by the hotel chain Jetwing and then it was impeccable). The rooms did not have fans and while the A/C was great, it would have been nice to have the option of having a fan instead of the A/C during the night. Some amenities in the room were also not provided - but again nothing major."

"The staff was extremely friendly and was very accommodating. We stayed for 1 night and they looked in to all our needs as soon as we requested. Will definitely go there again and will definitely recommend this place. Very much loved the old school Sri Lankan walawwa type aesthetics as well."

"This hotel is a little oasis tucked away among numerous hotels lined next to each other by the ocean. When I was there the ocean was extremely high making it impossible to jostle on the beach. The hotel room I had was outstandingly beautiful, all the furniture was well appointed. The food needs improvement and refinement. Most of the food was overly salted. I tried breakfast lunch and dinners. The service was friendly and the property was quite empty. The pools, the yards, were perfectly manicured and kept so beautiful. It is right outside the road yet you feel like you are in your own little heaven. There is a bar and a restaurant, all without AC and terribly humid and hot. The AC in the rooms work really good. I loved this place and hope to return"

"Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Essen sehr lecker und reichlich, sehr schöne Lage direkt am Meer, der Pool und die Anlage ist sauber und überschaubar, was sehr zur Entspannung beiträgt"

"Eigentlich war alles perfekt und es gibt nur Kleinigkeiten zu beanstanden: das Hotel scheint ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen zu sein und gefühlt fehlte es in diesem Hotel an Führung: einfache Dinge, wie die Prüfung der nicht funktionierenden Klimaanlage vor Check-in ist nicht erfolgt und musste von uns gemeldet werden usw.. Leider ist der Strand nicht zum Schwimmen geeignet und das Hotel liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße. In der Nacht hörte man bis teilweise 2 Uhr laute Musik von einer Hotelanlage nebenan."
