"Since I read the book who the owner Dorota wrote, I really wanted to visit Vanilla House. And it was as I imagined, even better!!! The sound of the ocean at night...The breeze.. The food... The view... I loved it!!!!"

"Amazing location right on the beach, quiet surroundings yet not too far away from shops, restaurants and the city center. The house was spacious and clean with A.C., a fan and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge. Mr. Dagobert was very kind and welcoming, he also picked us up from the station. Thank you, it was a really nice stay!"

Keep in mind the accomodation is very basic and I think some renovations could be done, for instance our room didn’t have mosquito nets.

I highly recommend eating at the Guest House! The rooms were spacious and nicely temperature thanks to the well working AC. If you looking for a nice and peaceful place to stay close to kokrobite, don't miss out on that one!"

It's hard to escape noise in this part of the world. There was some very loud music playing at local bars at night. We had to kill a lot of mosquitos

"Pěkné místo na návěztrné straně ostrova, velmi příjemný personál a služby. Dobré jídlo i pití se skvělým výhledem, celý prostor má svoji autentickou atmosféru."

Trochu škoda je neudržovaná přilehlá pláž, resp. celý prostor není úplně atraktivní a vybízející ke koupání. Současně s ohledem toho, že jde o návětrnou stranu ostrova jsou tam i řasy. Nicméně potenicál by tam byl veliký z toho udělat pěkné místo nejen ke koupání.

I wish I could’ve stayed longer. However I wished the shower head had more water power behind it the water ran slowly and it was hard to catch warm and hot water. I would have personally liked air conditioning, however overall it was a nice stay.

"We loved the courtyard where we had our breakfast which we put together from supplies from a nearby supermarket and the street fruit vendors. As shown on the wesite, the courtyard is a truly delightful spot, especially in a sunny morning, and important if you wish to eat or chat with your fellow travellers, as our rooms were too small for that. The staff were kind an helpful, and the daily room service and available linen service, ensured a clean room (and clean clothes). The location was close to where our conference was held and in a short walking distance the the lakeside, parliament house etc. Other city sights, the Plaza shopping mall, etc were usually an inexpensive taxi ride away."

The absence of wi-fi and difficulties getting an internet connection the courtyard and my room was a real inconvenience, only solved by purchasing a local sim and forgetting about my usual roaming arrangement for keeping in touch with family back home.

"Ten koloniální dům byl naprosto výjimečný. Ta atmosféra uvnitř byla skvělá. Nic podobného jsem ještě nikde neviděl. Personál byl super, při odjezdu nám zařídili i odvoz na letiště. Postel měla super matraci. Za celou cestu po Kapverdách sem se nikde tak dobře nevyspal. Opravdu úžasné místo."

V koupelně úplně neodtékala dobře voda, takže když se tam vysprchovali 4 lidi, celá místnost se proměnila v bazén. Holt stará budova má i své mouchy, ale to byla jen taková drobnost.

"Super poloha úplně v centru, nádherný voňavý pokojík - vše co člověk na pár nocí potřebuje, za tu cenu fakt brutál. Ale nejvíc bylo, že mi hotel povolil přijít dřív, protože jsem do Vilniusu přijela opravdu brzy. Ubytovala jsem se a nemusela jsem nikde moc dlouho čekat. Moc díky!"

The views were absolutely beautiful and we could truly enjoy and admire them during our stay. It made the whole experience even more special. Both the dinner and the breakfast were delicious and the overall standard of the hotel was excellent. Everything was very well taken care of and we felt really comfortable throughout our stay. The location was a but challenging, nothing to eat close by or to have a walk, but the owner was driving us everywhere, they were so nice

"Lokalita hned u hlavního náměstí v tiché části. Design, pohodlí, čokolády na všech postelích po příchodu :-). Kávy a čaje na celou dobu ubytování."

K hrnkům by mohly být alespoň lžičky.. Chyběl šampon na vlasy , byly zde pouze sprchové gely.

"We had a really wonderful time at Hotel Dionisio Inn! It's close to everything you may want to visit in Antigua and the staff was really wonderful, kind, and attentive. Even if the language barrier, they always remembered what we were up to and asked how things were. Whenever we had a question, they were always ready to help out. It's not often that we've met such helpful and nice staff members. The room was clean, comfortable, and so much better than a lot of other places we stayed at on our trip in Guatemala. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely book it again if we ever go back to Antigua."
